This is an amazing place right from the initial contact at the airport. The greeting staff "Nga" was ours, made you feel ever so welcome and this is the place to be. Upon arriving at the resort you were then welcomed by Julian and then shown to your most outstanding rooms on the ocean. If you are in need of a break, just to get away (ie mine was to relax before my cancer surgery) this is the place to be. Hire a scooter, talk to the wonderful locals, snorkell and relax. You find that everyone else there is there for the same reason. Paradise!!

Room Tip: Beach side are just the best for snorkelling and peace.

Beautiful, small, low-key resort and a great honymoon destination. Service was great and the staff very friendly. This is apparent from when you are picked up from the airport, when checking in, through to when you leave (including the personalised farewell from the manager). Very much a couples and honeymooners resort (we stayed 9 nights and saw only one or two children). We loved our room (no. 900), a beachfront villa. It was private, large and impeccably serviced. Bathroom was great and the generous provisions of Bulgari products appreciated. Good spa. The resort has the best location on the island, facing west with a stunning lagoon that you can walk out on or swim through the day. Everything is in easy scooter distance! Restaurant food is good, though the wine list is limited - largely because of the isolation and limited suppliers. The view from the open-air restaurant is stunning - on many mornings we watched whales breaching over breakfast. The 'Bedouin experience' is a must do - dinner served in a white tent as the sun sinks. Aitutaki has a timless feel and the best thing of all is the beautiful Polynesion people. Thoroughly recommend for honymooners or anyone that just wants to escape from the pace of life. A first-rate resort in one of the world's most stunning locations. Thoroughly deserves the awards it has received and ticks all the boxes for a fantastic unique expereince.

Room Tip: Would recommend a villa over a bungalow. Bungalows are nice but smaller and not as private.

If you are going one place, travel to Aitutaki. And stay at Pacific Resort Aitutaki.

A resort that was perfect in every way. VIP lounge at the airport - the world's smallest airport? And a lounge consisting of two sofas .. however, the only lounge :)

Shuffel to the resort, probably the finest resort in the archipelago. We arrived at 2-3 months after a hurricane, where 90% of the island buildings were damaged, the resort was luckily undamaged and in beautiful condition. The bungalow was breathtaking. Located on the undisturbed end of the beach with spectacular panoramic views of the lagoon and the Pacific. Large living room / bedroom, spacious bathroom and large balcony with sofa / seating area. Everything had a touch of luxury.

Beautiful pool area with sun chairs and a bar. Nice restaurant that served good food. Free disposable bike, scooter could be rented at a reasonable price. Spa / massage. Good servce from a friendly staff. A place that is recommended strongly.

2 drawbacks
- We did not get a late check-out (but we borrowed spa DUSS / wardrobe before departure)
- The beach at the hotel was invaded by sea cucumbers

Tip:
- Take the "Five Island cruise"
- Use the scooter to travel around the island (no traffic)
- Visiting Aitutaki Lagoon Resort and rent a canoe, paddle south along the small islands.
- For the romantic: private dinner for two at the beach.

Our trip was june 2012

Room Tip: If you want privacy, choose a bungalow at the end of the beach.

Myself and my partner stayed at the resort from March 17 2012 for 3 nights and "WISH" it could haven been longer. We used the resort as our first stop during our Cook Island stay and to help us to unwind from our normal day to day schedules and get on Island time and this we well and truly suceeded in doing.

On the first night I had organised in advance a surprise birthday cake for my parther, this was superb - banana cake with butter icing and beautiful fresh flowers. The girls on the front desk were fantastic in helping me organise the surprise , Thank you Tekura ! She also reserved a great table for us at the in house restaurant to celebrate.

The food within the complex is wonderful but be warned some servings are large certainly by Australian standards so we took to ordering smaller size dishes with wonderful flavours or shared.

I must recommend eating at the Black Rock Pool Bar area. It is a bit more relaxed ( less formal) but you can also order from the a le carte menu in addition to the bar food menu. You have the added bonus of being by the pool and under the stars with great music playing. Fishbone ( the in house bar cat) will greet you on the arrival of your food but does not beg for food and is just ensuring all your service needs are met.

We stayed in a beachside villa room 114, the room was great and backed onto the lagoon. The room is visited twice a day by staff to meet any needs you have and at night if you leave the front light on while at dinner the gecko's converge in the portico to keep the moth population down. This was most entertaining to watch.

You must bare in mind this is a 5 star location where staff are there to serve you so the breakfeast is not a buffet style as served at the Rarotonga sister resort. I thought this was great, whereas my partner preferred the buffet style arrangement with a wider cereal choice. The subtleness of favours in the mains was wonderfully delightful. Also recommend trying several cocktails from the list.

In hind sight the only thing we wish we had seen or asked staff about was local tours or activities. We did not encounter any stands in the foyer displaying information and did not think to ask till it was too late and we had to leave. We did borrow the resorts push bikes and pedal around the Island and I loved doing this, just watch out for the sun and heat.

We would like to wish Ted congratulations on his recent marriage and it was a delight to be dropped off by him back at the airport.

To Julian and staff Kia Orana and Me Taki ---- you made our stay !

Room Tip: All the beach side villa back onto the lagoon -- we had 114. For extra wow factor try room 100

Words cannot describe this wonderful Island and fantastic resort, you have to be there to believe the comfort, luxury, service, friendliness, surroundings and excellent food. The professional way the resort is managed and guests greeted and treated is exceptional. Best Holiday ever! There was nothing we felt could be improved upon...it was like paradise on earth. Thanks to wonderful staff!

Room Tip: I think every room would be fantastically appointed and there are only 27 f them.

We spent 5 nights at this hotel and it was a fantastic experience. We were looking for a relaxing vacation and that is exactly what we got! The resort exceeded our expectations in every way - from the comfort and luxury of the beachfront suite to the friendly and helpful staff, this resort helped make our vacation unforgettable. The beach at the resort is just breath-taking and we enjoyed many sunrises and sunsets from our deck. We rented a scooter to explore the island (very convenient rental at the front desk) and were able to try out some of the restaurants around the island. We especially enjoyed the Ika Mata and Island Fries at the Boat Shed along with other dining experiences, but it is clear that the restaurant at the Pacific Resort is the best food on the island. Our regards to the chef! The staff gets a special shout out from me because they helped get me to the hospital for stitches following a nasty coral cut on my hand. If you are going to Aitutaki be sure to stay at Pacific Resort!

This resort is a once in a life time experience. It is stunningly beautiful. It is an absolute must to take the excursion to "One Foot Island". Every room is beach front. After the first night I stepped out in the morning and looked at the beach. Hmmmmm....I thought the staff raked the beach to get rid of tree leaves because there were lines in the sand. WRONG....the lines were from giant hermit crabs.

The tv show Survivor came to this island.

The hotel is pricey at about USD $400 per night. The infinity pool will be your main hang out. Food is expensive at the hotel eating place. Exit the hotel....go out the driveway....hang a left
and walk about 10 minutes...nice place to eat on the left.

The staff and room were amazing!

One Foot Island is a must see attraction. The water is bath tub clear.....unbelievable!
