“Great lagoon tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2013

We didn't have the best weather as it was really windy and so the sea was a bit choppy but we were given the option to snorkel or get dropped on the beach depending on people's abilities. Went to honeymoon island, one foot island, survivor island and another. Lots of islands stops, a great homemade lunch on one of them (best food of the week!) and great snorkelling. Puna is a great guide and made the day relaxing and fun. Smaller group so not lots of people and plenty of time to enjoy the stops at the islands. Highly recommend this tour

“The host with the most”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

A beautiful day on the lagoon was always going to make this experience fantastic, but I was blown away by how much better it was made by our host Puna.
He is relaxed and friendly and accommodating.
The tour takes you through the deepest part of the lagoon in search of turtles, then to Honeymoon Island, One Foot Island, and if there is time Puna will stop on another small island for a last set of photos and relaxing before heading home. Several opportunities to snorkel at different depths are provided, so for all comfort and skill levels.
And these guys do the BEST BBQ lunch/picnic lunch of all the lagoon tours. The food really is exceptional, which you don't expect from something so simple.
I highly recommend taking the yellow boat tour. And if the weather isn't up to scratch Puna will try and make it up to you another day.

“Best Priced Lagoon Tour on Aitutaki”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2013

Boat Ride, 3 islands: Honeymoon island - lots of kiteboarders when it's windy, one-foot island - bring your passport for a novel stamp at the post office ;), and we also went to survivor island - this probably has a real name but... doesn't seem to anymore! 2 snorkelling stops along the way also. Lunch is provided and is very good, snorkelling gear is provided. $85 NZD though I think you can get deals but no idea how ;) They also pick you up from your accommodation and drop you back.

“Exceptional day out, really good value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2013

Poona is a chilled out guy and makes this trip a relaxed, enjoyable day on the lagoon in a spacious boat that is not overbooked. Lunch on one foot island is excellent and for $85 including pick up it is the best value on Aitutaki.

“Great day out on the lagoon, good value, great lunch, very relaxing - highly recommended”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2013

Excellent value at $99, the tour runs from 10am-4pm with hotel pick ups and delivery back. The stable flat bottom boat takes up to 20 people. Lunch on One Foot Island consisted of fresh Tuna, mango, papaya, lettuce and black rice salads; sausages. As much food as you can eat! Visits to Honeymoon Island and One Foot Island, with stops on the way on shallow sand banks where you get off the boat to take the perfect postcard pictures with your trusty camera!
We did two trips out on to the lagoon during our time on Aitutaki, both run for the same length of time (10am-4pm) and are the same price more or less($99; although with this one if you pay in cash on the day rather than through your resort, the owner will discount the price to $85; so remember to bring some cash with you). One advantage with this tour over the other one we did (with TeKing) is if you don't want to go snorkelling the owner/operator (Puna) will drop you off on one of the nearby motu - so you don't have to remain on the boat watching and waiting. Puna also provides free lemonade drinks which are excellent after snorkelling and taking in salt water. Other operaters like Te king charge even for water, so check what's included in the price of the tour. Puna is laid back, humorous, freindly and a very knowledgeable boat driver and guide. Can't recommend this tour enough. Just do it as the Nike ad says.
If you want faster boats and more snorkelling, go out with Te King. Or do both like we did!!
