We were picked up from our accommodation and taken to the little speed boat where we were to spend the day (not really what we had thought - bit more primitive then thought). We, along with 8 others joined the skipper on the little speed boat. We stationed ourselves in front of the skipper on a seat at the front of the boat. Our trip began and the weather was less than perfect. So we were soaked and cold even before we got to our first destination. The wind and the rain just drenched us all, but that was part of the adventure. We stopped out in the middle of the lagoon and swam close to the boat, saw so many multicoloured fish. The skipper had some bread so we used that to lure the fish, it was amazing. Saw the biggest fish I have ever seen (and I am an ex scuba diver) which was truly amazing. Then we went to another site in the middle of the lagoon where we saw all kinds of clams, "brain" coral and all kinds of fish. We were then taken to another site (out in the middle of the lagoon) where there is purple coral (which you can see from the boat) but the current was too strong and not safe to swim in so we couldn't leave the boat. We stopped off on Honeymoon Is and had lunch on another island (name?). Lunch was amazing with beautiful salads and BBQ. The only downside, beers were handed out at lunch (one each) and then at the end of the day we were asked to pay for the beer (which we didn't ask for). That left a bad taste at the end of the day. We also went to One Foot Is where we stayed for 1.5 hours where we walked around the island and swam (more fish). REmember to take your reef shoes on the day, as it will help to walk around on the day as there is quite a bit of coral around. We left One Foot Is at 3pm and taken back to the s/w side of the island where the van was waiting for us to take us back to our accommodation. In comparison with the other bigger lagoon cruises, this one is for the adventurous and who want to get a taste of what its like off the tourist trail. Its fantastic. If you want a bigger boat, with onboard entertainment (music) you won't like this but if you want raw, off the tourist trail lagoon cruise with on board entertainment in the form of "sick jokes" by the skipper and the other people on the cruise. It was so much fun and would highly recommend this cruise!
