“Vanilla Tour of Tahaa with a great history lesson”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

The couple who conducted the tour were excellent and extremely nice people. After the tour, they had fresh juices for us to share. They are both very knowledgeable about the island and it's history. We were expecting a tour of the vanilla bean growing and wondered why it would be a 4-hour tour. To all of our delight, the gentlemans calm demeanor and great narration of all the islands facts and history made this a delightful experience.

“Very good tour on Tahaa that covers all”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

This is a full-day tour and covers nearly everything on the island. You start with a nice boat ride to Tahaa's motu (next to the 5* hotel "Le Tahaa") and you'll have a 30 minutes snorkling through the coral garden there. It is the best snorkling we did in all of Polynesia. A mild current flows you through this labyrinth, very slowly, so no efforts need to be made. You can simply enjoy snorkling and the marine life there is exceptionel. Please make sure you don't walk on the corals, it is a fragile ecosystem. When we were the, many out of our group just walked all over, stupid!

From there you can see Bora Bora very close, the visit at the nearby pearl farm is interesting, nobody pushes you to buy their stuff. The visit of a vanilla plantation is interesting too. The family who runs this tour also has a vanilla farm, the smell of the drying vanilla beans is soo nice. They have nice souvenirs too. The dinner is typical polynesian and VERY good.

A 4x4 tour through the islands thick interior forest is a nice little adventure, the view from the hilltop is beautiful.

This is a well done tour, they had split our group into french and english speaking groups.
