Who could have imagined a quaint two story cottage in the middle of a bustling city? Completely isolated from the noise of the city by beautiful floral gardens and tall trees. The perfect quintessential B & B. Xavier and Pilar will treat you like family and you’ll be pampered like a Prince. We often stay in San Jose. However, this gem will be our RON destination hereinafter.

Room Tip: Each bedroom has a different theme. You will be shown each so that you may make your own choice.

The owner welcomed us and offered full hospitality in his beautiful home and splendid terrace and garden....we loved it and wished we could have stayed longer. The owner advised to have dinner at the nearby delicious Indian restaurant..

We were so delighted to find this gracious and fresh oasis just down the lane from a busy, bustling part of town. Cool porches, eclectic artifacts from Central American countries and the bright garden colors of the tropics, we've found a wonderful and restful home in San Jose from which to begin our holiday in Costa Rica. Host Xavier exuded old world charm and friendliness that is totally welcoming. We got to choose our room, and within minutes, he had booked us a table at the fabulous little Indian restaurant just around the corner. We could not be happier!

When the hotel where I usually stay was fully booked, a friend recommended this place, and I was so glad that she did! Host Xavier was exceptionally friendly when I first called, and his kindness and hospitality just wouldn't quit. Just off a busy road, this place is an oasis of natural and architectural beauty. The gardens and multicolor exterior tell you immediately that you are about to stay in a special place, and the attention to detail throughout is exceptional. Each room has its own special touches, and the place just oozes charm. The breakfast out on the patio was sumptuous and delicious, and we left with big smiles on our faces.

When entering from the street, be sure to stay to the right of the wall and drive to the end, where the B&B is on the right side. It is easy to mistake the signage and go to the left, which takes you to the neighbor's place.

Javier and Pilar, you set the standard for how to design and operate a delightful B&B! Nice to know you. ;-)
