I agree with all the 5-star reviews. In a country where delicious seafood is abundant, a good steakhouse is coveted, and La Esquina delivers! We went on a Wednesday night and it was pretty busy, but we didn’t have to wait very long to sit down. The wine list is impressive, the service is great, and the atmosphere feels just like Buenos Aires - flamenco music and all. My husband ordered steak and I had milanesa - both dishes were perfect.

This restaurant is a must if you love beef and authentic people. In addition, I can honestly say, we received the best service ever! Ask for Walter and you are guaranteed to have a fantastic evening!

The food was great and so was the service Walter was our server and he was fantastic! He went above and beyond anything we've experienced.
I asked him where the best cigar shop would be and he told us to wait for his shift to end, and walked us all the way there!
Incredibly helpful, and more than we could ever hope for!

Its been two years since I've eaten here! I loved it! The service was with out fault. The food was excellent. It was very clean and the tango music was charming. Every time I come back to San Jose I want to hit this place up.

After reading reviews, thought the food would be good. The salads were excellent and good thing because our paste entrees were terrible. The cannelloni and the artichoke ravioli in mushroom sauce were terrible.. Sorry to say that but so bad. The bread was really good and so was the wine we tried.. Malbec Cabernet blend. Service was good. The arugula salad and the spinach salads were exceptionally good. So overall, not bad but don't order the pasta. Another issue to look out for, the restaurant put us into a rouge cab.. Did not notice at first because it was painted red. It was "the Viper".. Drove too fast and the cab was a mess. Should have been $8 fare but no meter and charged $10. At least we mad it alive!
