My husband and I decided to try out the top Trip Advisor restaurants for special dates...and La Esquina de Buenos Aires did not disappoint us! We were glad we had lunch reservations because it was full of business people and professionals who had long discovered this gem way before us. The food was delicious, uniquely Argentine. Empanadas with onions and the calabaza (pumpkin) soup was a great start. We shared a steak plate (so we would have room to try a dessert) and our waiter made 2 separate plates with a generous serving of the sides. We had a great experience and will be back!

Haven't had a chance to go lately as its always packed day and night. Best entrana around (skirt steak). Insider tip, get it with the fries rather than the bland potato and salad. Fries are some of the best ever. I've had other cuts of steak and haven't been so impressed. Stick with the entrana its a 5 star steak. Empanada roquefort also a great app along with the chorizos.

The ambiance of La Esquina de Buenos Aires is simply cozy and friendly, the service is amazing and somehow once you step into it you feel transported, maybe it is the decor, maybe it is their friendliness, the light, or even the wine, so will be mesmerized. Maybe I am biased every time I go I am in good company, great food at really reasonable prices and the house wine is simply perfect. If you are into meat, I recommend the tenderloin in Malbec wine or pork tenderloin in dark beer and honey. Are you salivating yet? Oh and you will find the widest variety of Argentinian empanadas you could have never imagined, I tried the one with Blue Cheese, Celery and Walnuts and can´t get enough of them. As much as possible, do make your reservations first. Sometimes it is so full that you will have to wait in line.
