We went in a largish group (>20) and the staff weren't quite up to it. The food was fine, service deteriorated as the evening wore on. It would have been quite tolerable and okay until it came to paying the bill. Like most restaurants we used in CA they were very good at producing bills for singles and couples. What we didn't like was their exchange rate which wasnt made clear to us. It wasn't that they gave us a very poor rate 485c to the US$ where everyone else had offered more than 500c. It was only when we were asked for more cash or felt we had been shortchanged did we realise what they had done. It was a shame it ended this way - a bad taste!

The food was great, seafood prepared very well. Service was very helpful and cheery. There was plenty of food at a reasonable price. An experience not to miss if you are in San Jose.

Arrived at the restaurant early in the evening, great service and great food. Tried a Pico sour for the first time.

Surprisingly inexpensive. Good quality and value. Not just Peruvian meals, but try something Peruvian of course. Not a tourist hangout (although I don't know why) but a fine place to see Tico families enjoying a meal out.

Machu Picchu sea bass, and the seafood soup are great. Portion is big.
Tables are not crowded together, so you can have a conversation.
