We had a great day here. I had a really good time. The water rides are really good (you will get wet so maybe leave these for later in the day). There were several other rides which kept us entertained for the morning anyway. Queues for the rollercoaster (and most other rides) went right down late afternoon, but queues were not that long all day. There is a small exhibition area with some traditional Costa Rican buildings in it which is good for a calm down between rides.
Be aware that if there are thunderstorms (as there often are in the Central Valley) rides will be suspended until the storm passes. So aim for lunch then. There are various places to get "fast food" within a food court setting, at similar prices to the high street.
I felt the admission charge to the park was very good value. I would have had to pay much more to visit an attraction of a similar scale in the UK. I was impressed to find that profits go to a local children's hospital.
