We have collected tribal art, particularly masks, from our travels and residences around the world. The discovery of Galeria Namu was one of the highlights of our Costa Rican adventure. The collection of Costa Rican and Panama artworks in a single small gallery was breathtaking -- yet all the items are carefully selected -- no tourist trinkets here. The owners practice fair trade and stay very close to their artists, yet their prices are very reasonable compared to other places in the world. If you are in San Jose, you should plan a visit -- it is akin to a small museum. And if you can't visit, a trip to their website. We have continued to deal with them, and have never been disappointed to date.
