Great park for recreation in San Jose. Good spot for a family picnic on Weekend. Lots of local Ticos are here so if you would like to integrate with the Costa Rican culture, this is a good spot to do so.

I was here for a week getting dental work done and ran daily in this beautiful park. There is a nice circuit laid out and it's next door to the stadium. Picnic tables, a small lake, very busy on weekends with food vendors, etc.

One of the few places in San Jose where you can go to excersize without being worried about being hit by a car or being robbed. Tons of people go here on the weekends for recreational purposes and there's a lot of space to park your car. I've been going there for years and nothing has ever happened to my car, so the parking is safe as well.

Parque La Sabana is a nice walk, around a medium sized lake, all the more remarkable as it used to be the old International Airport! If you are staying close by, it's worth going there to stretch your legs after breakfast, or lunch but not worth a special trip.

Escape the hustle and bustle of San Jose and hit up the park. The lake has a lot of bugs in some parts so be careful where you sit. Fun atmosphere, very safe and a lot of activity.
