I was shocked and amazed at the museum. I felt they did an awesome job of explaining the history of Costa Rica. The display of gold was astounding. I also appreciated the other items of their heritage, as well as the art display. Well done!

This well curated museum is well worth a visit when in downtown San Jose. While it is not a huge museum, it beautifully displays the history of gold in Costa Rica.

Small but interesting museum. Good overview of history related to gold mining and metalmaking at that time.

This was an astonishingly beautiful collection of artifacts. You could do the tour at one level in less than an hour, but we were there longer admiring all of the details and watching the film. I am glad we did not miss this, it was a highlight of our visit.

English/Spanish displays, some Costa Rican art, low keep, very polite guards and staff. Not for kids under 10
