It was a good exhibit but I was expecting it to be bigger. You can take -no flash pictures, that was nice.

“The best that there is”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

The museum is easily explored in half an hour. Guatemala has better museums as does El Salvador. It's centrally located but rather dark inside.

“Well worth seeing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2013

It is a well curated collection. A little hard to find if you are not familiar with the city. It is on the toop floor of the INS building which affords you a view of the city and most of the central valley.

“Jade artistry as well as stonework and volcanic art”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

There is beautiful jade artwork here and you will also find Pre-Columbian stonework and volcanic artwork. There is some overlap with the National Museum which has better explanations of the Pre-Columbian stonework and volcanic art. The lighting in the Jade Museum is really easy on the eyes. It is easily accessible within the 'tourist area'.

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

No not just another musem. The aray of colors captured in the jade carvinigs in the Jade Museum are amazing. Jade is not only green - but can be the colors of the rainbow. If one enjoys the beauty that can be created from stone this is a amazing place to visit and experience. Staff are extremely helpful and very glad you are there to see what they see daily.
