Nice and clean but figured out it was a brothel after we checked in... oh well just didn't hang out in the lobby bar.

The hotel is good, but be careful they over charge guests.
I was checking out Tueday Mar 21, 2012 and gave them my credit card
when I was signing the credit card receipt I noticed they charged me more.
I noticed:
-they charged me for mini bar which i did not use.
-charged me for so-called upgrade
-charged for meals in the restaurant (which I had paid at meal time).
Hotel is good, clean, friendly staffs, expect for the bill
So keep your eyes open during check out
because it is rush time/people rush to get to the airport and don't look at the bill
so attentively>>>>>>>>>>rest is up to you

Room Tip: Good hotel for fun

if you are here you have probably heard of the delrey.it is safe ,it is fun ,it is clean ,and ive never met anyone who wouldnt go back.the girls are beautiful, but the finest start rolling in about 9 pm on friday thru sunday .the staff was as helpful as any place ive ever been and always with a smile.the cigars are not cuban and so on .this is a mans place. there are better rooms in town but nothing has everything ,so yes the rooms are older and its not the four seasonsbut it is one of a kind, and i hope it stays that way.

Room Tip: ask for one off the street and an upper floor

Another reviewer actually motivated me to write about the Del Rey. The hotel is a jumping nightspot with a good casino, fine restaurant, and arguably the best night club in the city. But Christmas Eve (Noche Buena), New Year's day and eve, and especially Easter Sunday the place is SLOW. Everybody is home with family and friends. That includes the lovely ladies who frequent said establishment. Any other time, the Del Rey is the place to see and to be seen especially for single men. There are other, better hotels, but none have the liveliness, the electricity, the joi de vivre, of the Del Rey.

Room Tip: I've been to the Del Rey several times. I always ask for a room above the street because I love...

My fiancee and I stayed here Christmas Eve knowing full well the type of hotel it was. After getting our one night of entertainment, our plans took us to the beach the following morning. She was certainly the only non-working girl in the place. We were not at all bothered by this however we were expecting to see some other couples or leisure travelers, there were none. The women were certainly attractive although far from being the hottest women on the planet, as some of these postings claim. If you are a single male with no fear of diseases you'll certainly have a good time.

Room Tip: Stay away from the street if possible

Well the Del Rey is the Del Rey. Those who have been there know what I am talking about, those who don't can't understand.
The hotel accommodations are average at best, but the guests don't go to the Del Rey for accommodations, really. Room rates have dropped, thanks to the economy.
The restaurant across the street has very decent food at decent prices - for exemple about $20.00 for a nice tournedos bearnaise with vegetables

You get what you pay for with the exception of the Blue Marlin. The girls behind the Blue Marlin bar should wear masks as they are bandits, as a parting gift padded my tab $250+. Apparently the Del Rey condones this kind of thievery.
