Absolutely nothing bad to say about our stay. We were there for 5nights & we stayed in one of the suites. It was spacious, clean & very comfortable. We ended up doing some tours booked directly with the front desk & had a blast in Costa Rica. Location is perfect because It is set where you can walk around & there are lots of dining & shopping in the area. I definitely would reccomend this hotel. Guest services is very attentive.

Our family of 4 stayed here for 2 nights. Check in was really fast and easy. We had a room on the 6th floor with 2 beds. The room was really clean and comfortable, but a little on the small size. The bathroom was big, the shower having great water pressure and plenty of hot water. We enjoyed the welcome fruit plate. The fridge was a great help with left overs and keeping drinks cold. Directions for running the air conditioning would have been helpful.

The staff were helpful with making tour plans and directions. We only had breakfast 1 day as we had to leave at 4:45 am the following day. The food was good, fruit, eggs, toast, and really GOOD coffee.

Keep in mind that when you stay here you are in the middle of the city. With that comes traffic, crowds, and noise.

Although our stay was short we were definitely more than pleased with the excellent care from all the staff especially Amanda at front desk very friendly and diligently assisted us in each of our requests and questions recommending good places to visit and eat in the area, our room spotless and all in very good condition, healthy and varied breakfast included all fresh and well presented, although this in a busy pedestrian street from our suite on the 8th floor we did not hear any noise or the street or other rooms, the hotel is situated in a strategic area to visit different attractions museums, parks, zoo all walked short distances during the day no doubt return to this beautiful hotel decorated in colonial style with a modern twist perfect combination very safe.

Room Tip: 8th floor excellent view very quiet.

Beautiful room. Great shower. Entire staff was outgoing, friendly and competent. Some construction was going on but not enough to be a bother and hours were restricted. Excellent breakfast. The fresh mango was awesome. Very good coffee.

Room Tip: We chose the basic room. It was large, well appointed and well kept. Great stay.

I stayed here twice for one night each trip. It's a good location if you want to be in central San Jose. Their no-guest policy probably keeps it quieter than most hotels in this area of town. I did hear the suitcase rattle down the hallway several times during the night as mentioned in other reviews. The breakfast was very basic. Staff was ok but not as friendly as other hotels I've stayed at in Costa Rica.
