We stayed here for 2 nights and the hotel was very nice. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the service was excellent. The gym is the biggest I've seen at a hotel and is very well equipped. The food is very good and they have an extensive menu. All in all a very good business hotel, friendly staff, great service. Only down-side, we were on the 5th floor and could here alot of traffic noise from the main road. Take earplugs if you want a good night sleep.

My husband and I started our fabulous trip to Costa Rica at this hotel in San Jose. Even though it is rather far from the city centre, it is convenient to the airport and in a safe area with good restaurants a $5 cab ride away and a big grocery store across the street. The staff was particularly helpful to us, especially Vivian at the front desk. The rooms are very clean, well kept and spacious. We did not find street noise a problem, as others have said.

We were going to San Jose for the Green Day concert at the Saprissa Stadium and found it very difficult to choose a hotel. We finally decided on this one, it looked like the only possible choice.

The room was very nice, comfortable and mostly clean. It was a bit battered and a little bit dirty just from being used a lot but was definitely okay. The bathroom wasn't great. The pool area was very nice, it was nice to eat breakfast out there.

There was a bell boy called Jorge who was by far the most friendly and helpful person at the hotel and most of the restaurant staff and other bell boys were okay. My daughter's passport got stolen at the Saprissa Stadium and Jorge sorted it out for us. However, most of the desk staff were AWFUL. There was one guy who was actually trying not to laugh when I asked for help about my daughter's passport. The girl I spoke to wasn't much better. There were a few that were nice, but the majority of the desk staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. They didn't even know what they were doing as much as Jorge did. The travel agent guy is never there.

The food is very expensive and to be honest is really bad. There were a few things that weren't so bad but most of it wasn't edible. There was a cockroach on the breakfast buffet one morning. But there's a supermarket across the road if you don't want to eat the hotel food.

The area around the hotel is fine. It's not like a ghetto like some of the other reviewers have said. Taxis are about $15 - $20 from the airport and taxis around San Jose are generally very cheap.

The food and desk staff were bad, but don't get me wrong, this was a very good hotel and I'd stay there again. I would recommend it for anyone going to San Jose and anyone going to the Saprissa Stadium. People are generally very friendly in Costa Rica and it's a great place to visit.

This hotel have really goods rooms with great services (and fair prices). I stayed there for an entire week during a workshop realized in the same hotel. The staff were very polite and prestative. The restaurant was really good and, also, they have a japanese restaurant which was really good as well. In the hotel they have access to a good casino (just to mention because I don't like gambling) and have a big pool. Free wifi connection. The hotel is nestled in a very good area of San Jose, near good malls, restaurants and, it's not far from SJO airport. This hotel really amazed me.

This luxury Business Hotel obviously has Crowne Plaza standard. Our standard room had a fantastic, very comfortable King size Bed. Unfortunately, we could hear the noise from the large street outside (or rather the parking lot sirenes) which did not exactly promote deep sleep...
The hotel is located in a rather industrial area, but is closer to the airport than downtown San Jose (there is a free airport shuttle at 5am and 6am which was convenient for us).
We had dinner at the Japanese restaurant above the casino, which serves excellent sushi!

Check-in was pleasant. We reserved a spot in the hotel’s complimentary airport van for the next morning. Apparently they leave at the top of every hour – starting not sure when, but the 06:00 van was plenty early enough for our 09:25 flight. Also we pre-paid our departure tax, though we might have avoided the $2 per head fee had we known there would be no airport lines. We opted for breakfast the next morning, which was quite a good buffet. Very efficient. However we asked for a room with a view and doubt there was a worse one.

Other than the view, the room was very nice – comforts typical of a quality business hotel. Very comfortable bed, very quiet. Quite clean.

Back downstairs, since it was raining we didn’t take advantage of the sizable pool. There were some business types in the area around the pool, so it wasn’t really a resort type of atmosphere, but good for a dip. We had a beer in the bar, which was pretty standard for a hotel bar. Professional service.

We did ask about what appears to be an observation deck at the top of the hotel. We were informed that the top few floors were condominiums, and that we didn’t have access to whatever it was.

Perhaps I should mention that we prepaid the room, and that no changes were allowed. We usually go for this option as we’ve never had trouble showing up. Of course this time our trip had to be rescheduled. With nothing to lose since they had our money already, and on the advice of the US Crowne Plaza reservation line, we called the hotel directly to see if we could slide our reservation. This proved not an issue, though there was a charge due to a higher room rate. Nice!
