I went on the Sarapiqui Canopy and Rainforest Adventure from San Jose with Gray Line Costa Rica. First you will be fed a delicious breakfast followed by a site seeing adventure that first stops at the Doka Coffee plantation, the oldest wet mill in Costa Rica where you will see and learn everything there is to know about how Costa Rica makes it’s world famous coffee (very interesting and beautiful). Next you will see an awe inspiring waterfall followed by one of Costa Rica’s active Volcanoes, Poas. Then you will cruise down the Sarapiqui river in a comfortable boat allowing you to see much of the wildlife that Costa Rica has to offer. We saw crocodiles, alligators, monkeys, several different birds, lizards, etc. At the end of the cruise you will stop for lunch and an optional zip line adventure that takes you soaring through the canopies of the rainforest. There are also exhibits where you can see snakes, butterflies, and frogs. The guide we had, Mauricio, was very funny, extremely accommodating, and very knowledgeable. This is an adventure that any age traveler will not soon forget!

During a recent business trip to Costa Rica, my wife, 4-year-old son and I used GrayLine for 3 tours (San Jose City, Volcano and Manuel Antonio Park with Beach and Rainforest). These guys were awesome and a great value. Our favorite guide was "Mario". He was awesome! Costa Rica is too beautiful to describe!

If you find yourself lucky enough to be in Quepos, Costa Rica one of the side trips that really is a must is a guided trip through Manuel Antonio National Park. You will be amazed at seeing nature at work. Our guide Karen was so knowledgeable about the life that was all around us and how they all rely on each other for existance.
You will never look at trees and frogs the same.

The volcano was great! The Doka coffee estate was great too learned all about coffee. Sarchi was my favorite the tour guides took us to a little shop to get souvenirs and the cathedral was beautiful.

This review is only of their shuttle bus service. We considered car rental but considering the myriad of roads and cost for car, GPS & insurance, let alone the risk of accident, we opted for the shuttle costing no more than $46/per to most destinations. Bear in mind that most are 9 passenger tall vans with luggage storage at back. Not the most comfortable ride but it is, in most cases, door to door(make sure to confirm when booking). Also bear in mind that in most cases, small minibuses/vans are the norm. Drivers will vary in English proficiency and attitude. We have been lucky so far. Knowing some common Spanish words/expressions will help in your travels. Gray Line agents respond promptly by email and very helpful by phone. Available 24/7.
