The place is perfect to bring tourist because the decoration is costarrican typical, a lot of all stuff, great view of the city lights at night. Local souvenir shop at the entrance. About price and food, not sure... and the waitress are TOO MUCH friendly, kind of annoying...
They have a dog inside the restaurant, is funny like 2 minutes but not the entire night..

“Food it not their Forte. Great view so so service.”
Reviewed May 17, 2013

I do not know how Costa Ricans get to their destination. There are no street names or street numbers. Most locals use an app call Iways. I guess made by a local because I do not know how a sattelite can find places. It is a long way uphill and quiet a few curves to get up there.

It has a gorgeous view of what locals call the central valley. The restaurant itself is not much. It si pintoresque and has a peasant look with old chairs and tables, dirt and wood floors. The food is not really their forte. I ordered some kind Palmetto soup and had a burnt flavor. Even locals mentioned it was not that good. as Main dish I ordered the tilapia with steamed vegetables. The tilapia was dried and over cooked. The vegetables were salty.

Service is so so. The waiter disappear after bringing our food. Then he was MIA when we wanted refills. It has an awesome view. I think it is the only good thing about this place. It is pricey so get ready to pay.

“Gorgeous views!”
Reviewed May 6, 2013

We had a group of 16 and sat in a long table overlooking the city - stunning views! Yes, it was a beautiful day so we were lucky. We lingered for about 3 hours. There is a small playground and the kids from age 7-14 had fun running around the property while we visited. Food was fine, typical Costa Rican. There was a large bridal party in a separate room, but we did not feel our service suffered. The drive up can be tricky - don't slow down on the uphill if you have an older car! It's pretty steep to get there but well worth it. Wasn't very expensive. Highlight to our trip!

“Great views”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

A taxi driver suggested this to us and we were delighted. Good local food and great views, but take a jacket - it is cold up there!

“View Great, food not so much”
Reviewed December 5, 2012 via mobile

The view and traditional dances are nice but the food is sub par and the service staff seemed annoyed to serve.
