“Mountain top excellence”
Reviewed May 15, 2013

Mirador Tiquicia has wonderful food, great service, and a spectacular view! It was a short but tough climb but it was definitely worth it. The restaurant is perched on the top of the mountain slope and the entire San Jose valley sparkles below you; it has never looked so beautiful. We even got a floor show with local dancers and music. It's my new favorite place to go in Costa Rica.

“Good food and an outstanding view”
Reviewed May 15, 2013

Thirteen fellow travel advisors and I enjoyed a delicious meal atop the mountain overlooking San Jose and the Central Valley. You can be sure that we'll all recommend this restaurant to our clients who visit Costa Rica.

“Can't Hide it Forever . . .”
Reviewed May 10, 2013

This used to be a little known place among foreigners, with exception of expats living in Costa Rica or those who happened upon an oxcart festival atop the mountains of Escazu. Tiquicia is a great place to visit a traditional Costa Rican restaurant with typical food and a fantastic view of the valley. If you want a traditional restaurant with traditional architecture and like to check out the local favorites, then find your way to Tiquicia (well, unless you are with a local or live in the area and speak the language, better take a taxi). Bring the camera.

“Spectacular View!”
Reviewed April 17, 2013 via mobile

I was fortunate to enjoy dinner at Tiquicia with some clients and colleagues. The lights of San Jose were spectacular and the dining was very good. Tiquicia is a must go when visiting San Jose.

“Fantastic View”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

The music and traditional dancers were a wonderful accompaniment to this traditional Costa Rican Restaurant. The beer flowed and the shimmering city lights below were a fantastic backdrop to a wonderful evening. The waitstaff might have been a bit more attentive though, but we learned to order well in advance of our needs.
