Description: Pescatore Restaurant is focused on providing recipes where creativity and originality are the highlights, fusing peruvian and Mediterranean cuisine. A truly new and unique experience. The restaurant is owned by Peruvian chef Regis Molina, Le Cordon Bleu graduate, with extensive experience in Costa Rica. Finally note the open kitchen, large windows and the ability to eat outdoors. Hope to see you soon !

“BRAVO PESCATORE!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2012 via mobile

First of all, WOW! Now back to earth. Prices in Costa Rica are high, and unfortunately a lot of places have just 'ok' food. After trying several new restaurants this time, my overall impression was the same...expensive and just average food. Then I tried Pescatore. They have a compact yet very well selected wine list, with nice selections from different countries, much better than larger wine lists with standard products. Pescatore includes Malbecs, Viognier, Duero and several other great options by the glass and by the bottle. Then comes the food, beautiful presentation and an impressive flavor, everything from their fish and seafood to pasta and meats was superb. Service is fantastic. I would say a must in Escazu.

Kuddos Pescatore!

“Amazing food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2012

We were thrilled to find this top quality restaurant in Costa Rica. Everything on the menu was terrific and a nice change from traditional meal choices. If you like fish you will love this place. They also have some meat and veggie dishes too.

“Worth the walk from the Intercontinental Real”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2012

I'm in CR on business (tough duty, I know!); staying at Intercontinental Real near the Multiplaza (aka shopping mall). We ventured out; tired of the three restaurants in the resort. We trudged through the grass and a bit of mud along the road - but oh! was it worth the walk. The waiter insisted we try the thinly sliced tuna with our choice of wine and we were not disappointed! Awesome. No problem with our lack of Spanish; the waiter and manager (owner?) were fluent. Wonderful menu; lots of variety. Peruvian (can't get that in the states!), Italian, and Costarican. Doors thrown open, lots of fresh air; knowledgeable staff, and great food. We'll be going back for sure.

“Outstanding”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2012

I find my self using the word outstanding often when talking about food in Costa Rica, but the food and Restaurante Pescatore was truly outstanding. It is a Peruvian/Italian fusion restaurant.

Our group had the calamari, sea bass with mussels, tenderloin (with shrimp), shrimp chili. They were all wonderful. We also had 2 desserts. One was the chocolate cake with the chocolate filling and icecream. It was very good but very rich. The second was a caramel custard that I can't remember the name of. It was delicious.

The staff was very attentive and helpful with ordering decisions. It is pricey, but not unreasonable for what we had. Four people with the above dishes, 4 beers and 2 martinis, cost about $200.

I would highly recommend this place for a nice dinner.
