Description: Saga is a modern, international food restaurant where clients can not only delight themselves with exquisite dishes, but also enjoy the tropical view like atmosphere combined with its modern architecture. In Saga, there is a prevalence of modernism in both its food and design while contrasting with the tropical ambiance of the landscape. In Saga, international food is transformed with the blending of tastes from different parts of the world. The experience is only enhanced by its already renowned gourmet bakery.

“Good Food, But Expensive”
Reviewed April 26, 2014

I've eaten here twice and the food was good both times. They do a great job serving selected international dishes, including Thai and Italian. A lot of restaurants do not do this well, but Saga does. I don't know who the chef is, but from his food, it is evident that he is well trained.

the deserts are among the best in the country.
The fresh salmon is the best you can find.

“Great food poor service”
Reviewed March 2, 2014

We had during the meal a sauvignon Blanco - half bottle - which costs 6910 costa rica. The sopa was 4662. The salad florentina was 6016 . The service was very attentive. The meal presentation was excellent . Unfortunately the beef tenderloin was uncooked and very tough.

“overpriced”
Reviewed February 20, 2014

While staying In san Jose had dinner at Saga:
do not waste your money on their salads - very mediocre, small portion, too much dressing and very over priced
pasta with seafood very mediocre and expensive
Sushi and tune sesame were good, atmosphere is upscale and pleasant, but would not recommend to friends

“Good sushi”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

The sushi we ordered was very good. Location is very good as it is across the street from the Escazu residence inn.
