We did the nature tour and horseback ride. The nature tour was quite extensive and included the butterflies, iguanas, crocodiles, orchids and ariel tram ride. The guides were very knowledgeable and quite entertaining as well.

I was hesistant about the horse riding since I haven't been on a horse since childhood. However, the horses were so tame and knew the path by heart. I hardly had do any work at all! We had a spectacular view, and the photographer got the coolest picture of my fiance and I- only $10 for a print and copy emailed to you.

We did the Canopy Tour (basic zip-line) and nature walk, on a day trip from the San Jose area.

We are in our 60's and were apprehensive about zip-lining but the staff was very professional and conducted what seemed like a very thorough safety briefing before we started, and the equipment looked to be very well-maintained. We enjoyed each of the lines without any mishaps and came away elated. There is only only one point where you have to climb steep stairs to navigate the course - I think about 75 of them - but we managed this by moving slowly and taking rest breaks. We come back up via the cable car with scenic views of what I think was the Tarcoles river.

We thought the lunch was the best of the 3 buffets we experienced at the various attractions we visited. (Cafe Britt, La Paz Gardens and Turu Ba Ri). The buffet was fresh, tasty and spotlessly clean, and included some nice deserts.

After lunch we did the nature walk and the guide was engaging and most helpful in identifying the flora and fauna. We actually saw wild monkeys come up to the caged ones. We decided to shorten this part of the attraction because my wife felt a little faint because of the high heat. It would be preferable to do the walk as early in the morning as possible.

Overall, this was a wonderful experience.

We were picked up from our cruise ship's dock and rode about 45 minutes to the park. The van was comfortable, air conditioned and we were offered water. There were 4 of us from the cruiseship. The park was beautiful. The guides were very helpful and friendly. They put us totally as ease. The ziplining was awesome. A truely unforgetable experience and highly recommended. It lasted about 2 hours and then we had a buffet lunch that was included in the price. On the way back to the ship, the driver/guide pointed out attractions along the way and was very informative about the country.

This day tour is a wonderful way to learn a lot about Costa Rica in a short amount of time. The driver and guide picked us up in their van at the Puntarenas cruise ship pier at 8 A. M. and returned us by 5. The park, about an 1 hour away from Puntarenas,is only a couple of years old. The tour which cost $89 per person included welcome fruit, juice and coffee;aerial tram ride from the welcome area over the rainforest and down into the park; iguana enclosure; butterfly farm; orchid, bromeliad, heliconia, palm and herb gardens; trails; farm; 2 mazes; and a delicious buffet lunch of typical Costa Rican food. The knowledgeable guide Eddie was a delightful treat. The staff was very accomodating and friendly. Everything is clean and well maintained. They were willing to arrange a tour for just the two of us when other companies weren't.
