I stayed here for 7 days in May . Pieere speaks English , French and Spanish. He welcomed me the first night by inviting me to go to the harbour with his son and his other guest and showed me the town . I felt very welcomed and safe at his place . He goes out of his way making sure you feel comfortable and is available to answer your questions any time . He gave me information about various attractions around Quepos , took me to the market , showed me where the best deals were , helped me with the language and .....
I stayed here by myself but this place is big enough for a family of four very comfortably . Great stay and highly recomended.
My husband and I stayed at the Gran Chalet for 5 nights. The cottage was perfect, with views and sounds of the jungle all around. It felt very safe and the wifi connection was great. Pierre was a wonderful host - very welcoming and always available to answer any questions we had throughout our stay! His dogs were very sweet and friendly. I highly recommend staying here!
We stayed for 3 nigths at Pierre's place ans it was wonderful. The cottage is very confortable and right in the middle of nature so we could enjoy being on the balcony in the morning and at the end of the day to relax. The location is perfect for nature lover ans close enought to Quepos and Manuel Antonio natural park. We do recommand this place all the way! My boyfriend and i would stay there for Everton if we could! Thanks Pierre for everything :-)
The location of Pierre's garden chalet is between Quepos and Manuel Antonio. It is in a safe and tranquil garden jungle, out of the mainstream, yet is quickly accessible to shopping, the beach and the National Park. While there is no AC in a rather hot climate, there is plenty of ventilation with outside exposure to make it quite comfortable. Pierre is a great host with three ageing and friendly dogs who know their place and are not intrusive. We did not venture out much at night so having most everything available in the chalet was an asset -- we ate meals at 'home'. Pierre was available to discuss activity options, but it would also have been nice to have brochures of local events on hand and readily available. We also thought it would be useful to have a more detailed list of 'how to's' around the chalet. We figured most things out but had to bother Pierre to find out the procedures for waste disposal, washing clothes, etc. (perhaps his way of forcing engagement with him?). All in all this was a wonderful experience and we would go back for more.
This open spacious house is nestled into the rainforest, with a lovely scented breeze, and a welcoming veranda. When you come out of its serenity, it is a short bus ride to the beaches of Manuel Antonio, and the shopping and restaurants of Quepos are even closer. There is a new zipline right up the road, and the host Pierre is helpful in arranging excursions to horse riding to magnificent waterfalls or visiting the surfer beaches. The sunsets over the Pacific are guaranteed to erase all stress. This is a perfect place for a first time visit to Costa Rica, with the balance of recreational activity and relaxation. The magnificent fresh food makes for happy healthy eating. We have returned several times to this chalet, and consider it one of our most favorite places. Please refer to previous review of 2015. My stay at Pierre's chalet exceeded my expectations. The chalet is very secure while hidden in the rain forest. The kitchen has a coffee maker, blender, refrigerator, stove, and plenty of cooking utensils. The WiFi offered the convenience of using my smartphone to stay in touch with my family. The nights were very peaceful with a symphony of sounds from birds, insects, and howling monkeys. Ceiling fans in the chalet and on the balcony kept the room at perfect temperature. Pierre offered me lots of information on the local beaches, places to eat, and ways to get around town. The local bus and taxi were simple to use when going to and from the chalet.
We loved staying in Pierre's house. The house is gorgeous; spacious, airy and well stocked with everything you need. The wrap-around deck was our favorite part and we spent most of our time there, savoring the breeze. Fans in every room kept air circulating and the house was cool at night, so we slept well. The best part was Pierre, who took care of us with more grace than we have ever had the good fortune to experience with a vacation rental. He checked in every day to see how we were doing, gave us perfect tips for places to go, and was responsive when we needed him, but never intrusive. He has a great heart and a gift for hospitality and was wonderful with our little boy. It was an easy drive to Manuel Antonio and the beaches; very nice to have a peaceful sanctuary a little apart from all the tourist action. We highly recommend Pierre's house!
