Our family of four rented with Fourtrax and had a blast. We doubled up and rode on two ATV's and had a private tour through the very cool palm reserve and ultimately to the Rainmaker Reserve. Took a quick tour of a few trails at Rainmaker, and ended with a swim in a waterfall area. Our guide pointed out lots of frogs, a snake, and other misc insects that we would not havae seen otherwise. Rode the ATV's through lots of mud and streams, so be prepared to get dirty. The helmets provided have a pull down screen, so you can keep the mud and dust out of your eyes. Although ATV tours are a generally a bit expensive, this one was well worth the cost as the Rainmaker portion of the trip was like two tours in one.

We had friends who were visiting who wanted to do few "fun" things around Manuel Antonio. My boyfriend had already done an ATV tour and loved the adventure. Our friends decided that it sounded like a good time so off we went.

You are picked up from where ever you are staying in Manuel Antonio. We had our first bit of fun when the van pulled over to show us an alligator and we all took pictures. It was just a baby and down low in a gully. We continued on to the ATV and the instructors. You are given instructions, take a few test rides and then off you go!

The bouncing and turning and riding through water was exciting to say the least. At first you are little bit more into handling your ATV, though easy to use, than looking around.

The next stop was a beautiful waterfall. There are two levels. The first is the scenic part and the second, though still scenic, you get to go for a refreshing swim. We saw some beautiful birds and a gorgeous, turquoise butterfly that had to be at least six inches across.

We then dried off and continued on. The views of the mountains, farms and rivers was breathtaking. At this point everyone knew how to drive and was taking in everything.

The last stop was at the owners house for a typical Tico lunch which is included. It started with either Coca Cola or Mango Juice. I love mangoes so went with the juice. Yummy! Your lunch consisted of a healty portion of rice, chicken and salad. They had bowls of delicious beans to add to your dish in addition to the common spicy sauce used by every Tico and visitor around, Salsa!

Another fun attraction for everyone were new born puppies just 20 weeks old. Who does not like a puppy? While we were sitting at the table awaiting lunch, one of the other riders said there are puppies around the corner and you never saw a table clear so fast. Also, there was a ping pong table, hockey table game and hammocks everywhere to take a rest. The owner also keeps a beautiful garden as well. This was not a rushed lunch.

If you can drive automatic, you can drive an ATV. Take a ride and have some fun. It was worth the trip.

Our group of 7 with 3 children (ages 5,9,11) had a blast. The children doubled with an adult. Lots of bumps and hills and rivers and mud. A short hike up to a gorgeous waterfall, a refreshing swim, more ATV'ing then a delicious lunch. An added bonus was visiting the adorable 3 day old puppies after lunch. Special thanks to our guides Taylor and Carlos for a great day!

While my husband and I were skeptical and so was our teen daughter, this was the one thing our teen son wanted to do and so we booked this tour, and it was one of the most fun things we did as a family on this trip. We had a great time zipping through back roads, up and down hills and through streams. We each got our own ATV since they didn't look too comfortable for two. The short walk to two beautiful waterfalls where we could swim and get right under the waterfalls was an added bonus. At the end we drove up to the top of a hill having no idea that the owner had prepared lunch for us, and finding out we were vegetarians they quickly made us some beans, rice and salad which were delicious. I highly recommend this even to skeptics. Note that my teens are 16 and 17, and I wouldn't take much younger kids.

My friends and I heard Fourtrax was the company to use for an ATV Tour. At first, we received a little lesson on how to work our own ATVs. The guides came around and checked each of our helmets, vehicles, and answered any stupid question we may have asked! One we got going, there was always a guide at the front of the line and one in the middle, so I felt like they always had an eye on us. WE HAD A BLAST! We zoomed over bumpy trails and even through streams. It was exhilarating and something I am so happy I tried! The place we ate lunch at after had such a pretty view!
