We started our month long vacation in the Quepos/Manuel Antonio with shopping at the Pali for some groceries and going right down the street to a fruit market and bread shop. We were tired and saw this adorable restaurant and decided to give it a try. We were still on Michigan time and even though it was only 5 her out felt like 7. We weren't going to be picky! So our three girls (ages 6, 8,and 9) cheerfully walked across the bridge and up the ramp. The were delighted to see hammocks just begging them to jump in! We ordered limonadaand we had to wait a few minutes for it. Once we tasted it we knew why, the lady made it fresh...right when we ordered it! It was delicious!!! We did not have a regular menu item, as we are vegetarian. She was very accommodating and did a plate with rice, beans, avocado, salad, fried plantains, and mixed veggies. Our girls had a fried egg instead of the avocado. My husband and I each ordered a plate and the girls shared one (I shared with them as well). The food was really fresh, the rice and beans weren't super flavorful, the veggies were really good, and the plantains were scrumptious! It was exactly what we needed. The price? Crazy. The equivalent of $20 including the tax and tip.
