Owner description: Canopy Safari provides tourists a full blown adventure tour. Set in the heart of the tropical rainforest we have something for everyone. An exciting canopy zip line tour with ten zip lines, two rapel limes, a suspension bridge and a tarzan swing. We also have a butterfly garden, serpentarium, tilapia fishing ponds, a caimen lagoon, walking trails and a beautiful restaurant where we serve buffet style meals. We were the first canopy tour in the southern area of costa rica and we are still setting the standards for the safest, the best and the most exciting canopy tour in costa rica. Since 1997 we have been taking our guests out into the jungle and providing them with an unforgettable experince that they will always remember. Come and have the experience of a lifetime with us

Our guide Arley, was a funny distraction on the bumpy ride. Arley provided fun information about the surrounding area and before we knew it we were there. The butterfly exhibit was beautiful but the whole zip line experience was beyond words. ALL the guides were funny and made me exhausted from all the laughing. The guides are big into safety so you will be in good hands with every zip line. Would definitely reccomend this to anyone going to Costa Rica. Thank you gouys at Canopy Safari for the wonderful experience.

“High-flying above the clouds and the trees!”
Reviewed March 19, 2013

Our group of 7, including kids in ages of 7,11, and 14 as well as the adults LOVED this tour!!! Our guides, Arley and Steven, were wonderful! They would stop and point out interesting facts and plants as we walked up to the top of the mountain to begin our adventure, They even found a poison dart tree frog and grabbed it to show us. Very cool!
When you do the first zip line you land on this platform on a tree and you can finally see how high up you are-above the clouds!!! It looks like something out of the movie King Kong!
There are about 7 zip lines, 2 rapelling ropes and one Tarzan swing. The guides made sure that everyone felt safe and secure before sending them flying. We felt very safe with all of the equipment, too.
You do have to hike up for about 20 minutes to begin-but like I said our 7 year old could do it so it shouldn't be a problem for most.
When you are finished you end up at this pretty little covered picnic area where the ladies that work there have set out a nice meal of tortillas, beans, chicken and salad. We ended up being the last tour of the day and we had the place ALL to ourselves!! There is also an enclosed butterfly area that is very cool along with a serpentarium below with several kinds of snakes in glass cages.
We even got rained on and we still had a blast!!!! Would definitely go again!!

“Rainforest Adventure!”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

We went on a half day zip line tour with Canopy Safari and loved every minute of it! The guides were a lot of fun, and made sure we felt safe the entire time. The tarzan swing was my favorite part! But each zip line is equally fun. The only thing I wish is that they took more pictures throughout the trip rather than just had a few checkpoints.

Just went on this! It was amazing. Started out with a bus driver who took the time to stop and show us the local flora and fauna like the cashew fruit, ylang ylang, and teak trees. When you arrive they have fruit and drinks and bathrooms for you. Then they take you into the butterfly garden and serpentarium. It was very cool. Our daughters and nieces loved seeing the butterflies land on their hands. Then the fun begins with a trek up the mountains. All the guides we had with us, Al, Arley, Jorge, Steven were amazing. Great with me in a short arm cast, amazing with my mom who started to feel unwell, and especially amazing with the girls in our group ages 5,7,8, and 11. It was so exhilarating and the guides obviously love their jobs and love to have fun with the guests. At the end you get a delicious meal and a nice quiet bus ride back! I'd highly recommend this to any and all!

Andres and Heiner were knowledgeable about the wildlife and fauna on the way up and they inspired confidence and stirred the fun as we zipped down. Before the tour, we were a bit worried about how our daughter was going to handle the heights and the speed. Thanks to the warmth and care Andres and Heiner showed her, Emily was all smiles -- and so were we.

This trip was a "high"light of our Costa Rican vacation, for sure!

Thanks, Andres, Heiner and Canopy Safari!
