“Green and local”

This is a small gem. Mainly used books in English, and a selection of foreign titles and languages. As a long term visitor, I love the exchange program. Purchase your first book then bring it back and re-select any qualifying title for a minimal price. I would almost call it a lending library. Our household has probably read 15 +titles in 6 months. From the most common like Grisham to more esoteric, like "The Fall of the Ottoman Empire"
Well organized, with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. There are also new books, local authors and artists represented. Coffee and souvenirs if want to support a local business.
If you have books you don't want to drag back in your luggage, might suggest you "donate" them here for the next person to enjoy. Pura Vida

“Fascinating place!”
Reviewed December 20, 2013

This bookshop is really about the owner, Jaime is a kind and nice person who decided to open this used & rare books bookshop just a few meters from the Pacific coast.

It was funny flickering around the shelves, trying to find something strange and unusual.

We found something indeed, and also in Italian.

It makes you wonder how many roads a book can travel, and what story it has...

“Great Surprise! :-)”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

This is a great little bookstore that has books in English. The staff and owner were friends and helpful. It was a surprise to find the store and a treat to be able to get books. I recommend them, even if you just stop in to say hello. They sell coffee beans and other gifts too. The prices were about par for the area, it was the friendliness that made a difference. They offer adventures too!

“wonderful zipline experience thanks to JP!”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

Caroline, who works at the bookshop, set us up with an excellent zipline adventure through the rainforest. We were under a time crunch and she got us set up in less than 10 mins with a 5 dollar discount for each of us. I'd definitely recommend stopping by!
