We stayed in Quepos for three weeks, and this was our go-to place for drinks and lunch. The bar is usually busy and fun at night, the restaurant is open air and they make great sandwiches, especially their burgers! The location is nice because the ocean is right across the street and it's an easy location to get to on the main road of town. The only down side is that the prices are a little on the expensive side, and the service is not 'fast.' But this is also the way it is on vacation, especially in a hot climate. So as long as you are prepared to go with the flow, it's worth the stop.

we stopped in for dinner and then again another night only for dessert. the paella was very bland and so was the sauteed seafood dish. very overpriced seafood joint that attracts americans due to its fancier decor. we went back for dessert another night and got the keylime pie and coconut flan...coconut flan is a must try...amazing!

We stopped into El Gran for coctails one afternoon, as we sat at the bar we noticed a burger being served to another guest - it looked so good the next night we came back for one. They are supposed to be known for seafood, but the burgers are terrific. Served on a Ciabata roll with the fixings of your choice and served with fries. We don't generally go out of the country only to eat burgers, but are we glad we had that one. Service was great and the bartender does a great job also - would definately return one day

We stopped here for a quick bite on the way to Manuel Antonio. The food was simply scrumptious!! I had the Coconut Curry Chicken (7500 Colones / 15$ USD) and I craved it again for our entire trip!!

Nice 'pub' feel to the place. Decore is very coastal and the staff was pleasant.

I'd go back there anytime.

The seafood is good in this restaurant. It is visited for many americans and fishermen. The customer service is ok and the prices normal if you compare with the others restaurants arond the area.
