Wow, what a find. Don't listen to the yuppies on here complaining who were expecting a hotel and got a hostel. This place was great! We met great people every night, lounged in a beautiful pool area, partied at a local dance club and had a nice little meal at Soda Quepos just down the road.

Negatives: yes quepos is a little dirty but it is not unsafe, plenty of cops around the main areas.

Rooms: I loved the communal vibe and had a great time, but yes the dorms are a little crowded if you are not into that type of thing.

Overall: great stop for backpackers looking to meet cool people, hang out and take a day trip to the Mauel Antonio Park.

The place is pretty cool the room is a bit small and sometimes specially in the nights to sleep is kind of hot even there's a fan in the room. We paid for a private room with shared bathroom. The mattress is fine, the pool is good and clean and the place in general is quite nice. You could have a very nice time staying there. I fully recommend this place if you're not so picky.

As it is a hostel don't have high expectations:
rooms are a little small they were clean
beds are ok
WiFi works well in the common area
staff is friendly but always seems in hurry
you can park the car in front of the hostel where the staff is watching the entry of the hostel so
i must say you feel safe inside at night, Quepos seems pretty unsafe at night, you can see some drug addicts preparing there dose with a spoon a lighter and a seringe in the streets, when you walk around past 10 pm you can find some weirdos looking at you and following you.

I stayed 2 nights here in a private room. What surprised me was that I paid for a private room was put in a room with a bunk bed, while I saw empty rooms with double beds in them. Not too big a deal, but odd.

The kitchen wasn't as well equipped as other hostels I've been to in CR, but it had what I needed, including a freezer.

The hostel was easy to find from the bus station and it was super easy and cheap to get to Manuel Antonio from there. It was a good bidet option over the expensive ones in Manuel Antonio proper.

The pool was clean and refreshing and the common areas were clean and comfortable or meeting other travelers.

Friendly staff but quite expensive for a hostel. Did Not meet the expectations raised by Lonly Planet but we only stayed one night. We had a private room for 40$ which had a fan, a fridge as well as a private bathroom which was a bit soggy and stinky. Mattresses have seen much better times.

Highlight was the coffee free flow.

The town was very empty at this time of the year and most Restaurants closed.

Stayed in double with shared bathroom. We've been in several hostels during our trip. I think the 35$ where pretty much.
The Room is really small, maybe not more than 8m². The Communal Area is really nice with Hammocks and a good kitchen. The sanitary area was clean.
Supermarket, bank, bus terminal, restaurant within 100 metres.
The lonely planet calls it the best hostel in costa rica .. I think most of the people go there with too high expectations. We have been in better hostels but it's not very good and it's not bad. If you don't have too high expectations you will enjoy your stay.

We came to this place based on the reviews in Trip Advisor and were not dissapointed. Rooms where clean and functional. Common area such as kitchen, dining and pool were the best features.

Good location in Quepos and walking distance for buses to Manuel Antonio National Park. WIFI a bit poor can only be used near reception..

Will not hestitate to recommend this place, good hostel on the Backpacker trail.
