If you go for the cheapest option you really do get what you pay for. The showers are cold (not that that mattered as it was blisteringly hot), the rooms were hot with a useless fan, the mattress isn't the comfiest but the owners are brilliantly helpful and friendly, there is an extensive DVD collection in case the weather is against you, the pool is nice and breakfast is included (although a little basic) and the internet is quick and free. Much cheaper to stay here and get the bus into Manuel Antonio than to stay in Manuel Antonio. I would recommend this hotel as it is dirt cheap and Quepos is a lively town but it is basic and if you have the money I would go for one of the more expensive room options.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a plug because some have them.

Got eaten alive here by bed bugs. They said they would at least refund me. They never did.

Big rooms (11 persons), no hooks on the wall to hang up anything. No electricity in the room. If you need to recharge something, you're mostly lost! There are only a few plugs in the public area, but there the WiFi does not work at most places.
Cold water showers only.
Swimming pool is nice.
Breakfast is included.

This place is a really great place to stay! Of all the places my boyfriend and I stayed in our 2 weeks traveling around Costa Rica, this was our favorite. The owners of this place couldn't have been more helpful, and warm and friendly. Our room was cool, too. It was clean, and It had a fridge in it and everything. It's really a very comfortable place overall, with a big main hang out area where you can access free wi-fi. AND there's a pool! And breakfast is included! Really, most of all, the thing that will leave the biggest impression on you is how awesome the dudes are who own and run it! They go out of their way to accommodate and help with anything you need. Go stay here!!!!

We stayed in a private room for a night. It was correct and clean. The hostel has a nice pool. It is a good base if you want to explore Manuel Antonio, located just about 20 minutes by car.

This hostel is a good option for visiting the Manuel Antonio National Park. It is located in Quepos, 7 kms from the National Park. The bus leaves every 30 mins from the bus station which is 5 mins walk from the hostel. They have a small swimming pool and a very good kitchen. The bathroom are very clean and have 4 toilets and showers. The staff were great! They include the breakfast which is the typical rice and beans, fresh fruit, toast, butter, marmelade, juice and coffee. They have a no noise policy after 10pm since many people get up early to go to the National Park. Great option if you want to have a good nights sleep. There is a big lounge and you can borrow movies on DVD to watch on a rainy day.

Very basic but clean rooms. Most rooms are with a shared bathroom (one big bathroom for the boys, one big bathroom for the girls),I think there is only one room with AC, mostly it's just fans. Nice pool in the center, clean and well undertained, surrounded by the rooms. Great hospitality. Average breakfast (typical costa rica). Great place to meet other backpackers. A lot of dogs :-(. Free internet (they have 3 computers).

conclusion: great place for backpackers on a tight budget.

Room Tip: Ask to check them out.
