Our cruise ship arrived in Puntarenas in early September. We had booked a tour with another company but when we got to the end of the pier, there was nobody there to greet us. Ricky saw us, hot and frustrated, and came over to see what the problem was. When we told him we had booked a tour but the company wasn't there to meet us, he called the owner of the tour company on his cell phone and let me speak to the owner. Apparently, the company failed to schedule us---a slight slip-up! But the owner apologized and organized a driver and guide almost immediately. We'd like to thank Ricky for his kindness in helping us out. He could have just turned away and tried to hustle up business among the other passengers looking to hire guides. But instead, he took the time to help out strangers. Ricky is terrific and he speaks perfect English. I wish him much success in his business!!!!
