This place is top notch. Clean rooms, great staff, adventurous excursions. Corcovado is a must. The fishing with Oscar will not disappoint. I highly recommend a trip to the Las Islas. Oscar and his wife Marie are great. Their little boy oscar loved to play with my 2 year old that was traveling with us. Helen made great breakfast and smoothies. And the pool was always just right to take a dip in.

I have stayed at Las Islas multiple times and am never disappointed. fishing with Capt Oscar is the main reason for my trips. However, the rainforest excursions are great also. The town of Puerto Jimenez is laid back and friendly.
Las Islas is clean and well maintained and Maria and Hellen are excellent at making my vacations there easy and enjoyable

My brother and I enjoyed a in January and it was excellent. We fished with Captain Oscar who I believe is that best captain in this side of Costa Rica. The hotel has great a/c nice pool is very clean and excellent breakfast. The service and staff are outstanding. Best place to stay on the Osa in my opinion.
We
are already looking at dates to rebook for another trip.

Room Tip: Great Trip these people understand excellent service

We enjoyed our stay at Las Islas Lodge, the welome was very friendly and everyone there was very helpful throughout our stay. The cabins are very comfortable and spacious, with lovely surrounding and there is also use of a communal pool.
The breakfast offers good choice and is set in a lovely open restaurant. It was a shame dinner is not offered there, however, you are able to order food to the restaurant from downtown (if you need to). It is around a 20 min walk to downtown Puerto Jimenez, for some people this may be too far both ways - so it is worth factoring in Taxis if so. We would stay here again if we were in the area and it is a great place to stay if you are in the Osa region.

Room Tip: The king cabin is large and a bit more private than some of the cabins.

My husband and I stayed one night, but I would have been happy to stay more. We had a large room (cabin), with a king-size bed, and large bathroom. The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable, the AC adjustable, and we had a veranda to relax on when the heat of the day had passed. As the Lodge is just off the road, there was some road noise that competed with the birds and howler monkey - the only imperfection of our stay. The grounds were lush and well-tended. As we had no car, we choose to have lunch and dinner delivered to the lodge. We ate in the open-air dining area and staff set our table and cleared for us, and refreshments were available on site. A good breakfast was served in the morning. The staff were all friendly and attentive, and their English was much better than my Spanish, so communication was no problem.

The hospitality and kindness of Maria and her staff is unique. Las Islas is a wonderfully appointed, clean, beautifully landscaped, excellently maintained property. The attention to detail in the rooms, artwork, decorations, and care of guests reflects the love poured daily into the jobs they seem to do so effortlessly. We stayed before and after our 3 day Corcovado hike, our extra baggage was kept safely, a breakfast to go was carefully and thoughtfully packed, arrangements were efficiently made. The Tico "pura vida" spirt was most apparent in Osa, and particularly at Las Islas lodge.

Room Tip: you will be surprised by the attention to detail and care taken in appearances, the generous sizes o...

What a lovely place! The staff could not be kinder. We stayed here before and after our overnight hike into Corcovado. It was the perfect spot. I was sick for a day while I was there and they did everything to help my husband, who speaks no Spanish, take care of me. The breakfasts were so yummy. The room was comfortable and private. It's a bit further out of town than I would care to walk, but it was an easy drive in and again, the staff gave us great directions to restaurants, the mercado, and anything else we needed. Be sure to get pastries at the paneria in town!

Room Tip: The casitas are the best.
