We booked a tour to Sirena Ranger Station for a half day hike.
It was expensive and a tourist trap. You walk very slowly with many many other tourists only some close by paths to the station. For this experience we paid 80 USD per person. Din't see much animals... We wouldn't do it again. No unique Experience.

Simone, at Jumanji Bungalows, arranged our trip. The quad bikes came for us at 5:15am and we were taken down to Drake's Bay for breakfast. We walked down to the bay and climbed aboard a boat for an hour and a quarter ride to the forest. Our guide, Javier, took us all around the trails where we spotted numerous birds and animals including a green kingfisher, two crocodiles (in the bay -- not on the trail!), an eagle heron,a bright red-beaked toucan, currasows, the astonishing 5" tall Tiny Hawk, spider monkeys, and howler monkeys.
We had our lunch (included in the cost) at the ranger's lodge (where they also have camping -- very comfortable looking) and then headed back to the boat after spotting a sleepy tapir and -- star of the show -- an arboreal anteater swinging by its hind legs and tail high up in the canopy! While we were waiting for the boat, Javier sliced up some water melon for us and offered us iced tea from the cooler.
Javier was extremely well-informed and helpful. He took pictures for us through the telescope as well, so we have some wonderful mementos.
While this tour was approx $100 per person, it was great value. You can get cheaper tours in Drake's Bay, but I'd highly recommend this one because of the quality of the guides and the comprehensive tour of the forest trails.

Liked the birds and animals. The one-hour hike along the beach both in and out of the park was beautiful but challenging.

Corcovado National Park is remote, pristine, beautiful, and worth the effort to get there. Definitely worth the effort.

We took the boat at 5.30 from Drake Bay (arranged by Emilio at Drake Vista Lodge) and went with a speed boat along the coast for 1 1/4 hours. After the landing we had breakfast at the beach with our guide Faustino. Faustino then took as around the trails of the park. He was very knowledgable and we saw different kinds of monkies, crocodile, ant-eater, deer and of course a lt of different birds. The jungle was impressive! Then we had lunch before returning with the boat, very content!
