Best stay ever!

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Jan 2, 2020
Clearly the best stay we had during our 3 weeks holidays in Costa Rica. The warm welcoming from Kristina & Bruno, the place which is amazing, quiet, not far from the center of Montezuma with a view on the ocean, the outdoor kitchen, the multiple and colorful birds that are flying through the garden...etc.. Defintely a place to recharge your battery before moving to your next destination.

This sweet little place is like finding a secret spot that you get to enjoy the tranquility of the hilltop seemingly to yourself. Great location as it is just far enough from the main town and waterfall.

What a place! We turned up unexpectedly as there was an issue with our previous booking. Fortunately, Richard had a cabin for us to stay in. It was beautifully made up and very clean. There is no air con but with the windows open and fan on, it stays cool enough, it also gives you a break from air con dehydration! The location is amazing with stunning views from our balcony, with hammock. Just make sure you have a 4x4 as the roads in Montezuma are a bit lumpy to say the least. The town is a 10 minute drive, $10 in a taxi each way which is worth it for the exilerating ride!
Richard was an incredible host, nothing was too much to ask. He’ll book you a table in restaraunts, taxis and make great suggestions on beaches and places to visit etc all with a smile!
Breakfast is lovely too. Fresh fruit, coffee toast and yoghurt brought to your door (we had ours at 7:30ish) to enjoy on your balcony. We thought that the cost was too cheap and paid a bit extra as it is worth so much more than what you pay! Great value! If you’re going to Montezuma, stay here!

Richard and his dogs made our Christmas in Costa Rica somthing truly special. He embraces and shares the Pura Vida vibe that Costa Rica is known for. Thank your our incredible stay! By the way, great name.

First of all: Make sure you have a 4x4 vehicle. Otherwise you will neither make your way to Montezuma nor to this beautiful hotel in the middle of the jungle. You need a good Navigation to find this remote place. Be sure to arrive there before it gets dark. Otherwise its quite a challenge :-)

The cottages up there are just beautiful. You overlook the jungle and can see the ocean a little back off. Rooms are pretty large and you have a really nice balcony with a hammock, a little kitchen in case you want to prepare your meals by yourself and simply a breathtaking outlook on mother nature. Very tranquil, no noise except of monkeys or birds. But that's what you wanna here when you are in the jungle, right?! The only thing that could have been better was breakfast. Although it is served directly into your room, it was a little loveless and was thus spoiling the overall very good experience a little. However, for those seeking pure nature and a spacious cottages, this is a good choice.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay at Casa Delicias except for the fact that Richard insisted we pay our bill in cash, which was unexpected. We had to spend time driving to/from an ATM in another town since the Montezuma ATM was out of cash.
We enjoyed the remote location because we had a car. There's no AC so the room was quite warm in the late afternoon.
