The concierge, Susan that came with the house was the best part of the whole vacation. She provided us transfers from the airport to the Tabacon then to Manuel Antonio. The driver, Roberto was fantastic and stopped at attractions along the way. Susan arranged all the tours (private catamaran, spas, zip lining) and found us alternative ones based on our wishes. She arranged for a private chef, Desiree who was fabulous. She went grocery shopping and stocked our kitchen. She even gave us the perfect tips the National Park. Our best meal was at Cafe Nicolas - the most delicious and right priced costa rican food. The house was beautiful and well maintained. The 2 bedrooms in the quest house had a separate entrance and worked okay as our children were adults. Susan acted as our personal travel agent, tour guide, event planner. I have never had someone take care of every detail so flawlessly. Upon arrival, She had a detailed itinerary by day for all our activities include the days where we did our own thing.

House is very pretty but also Very Deceiving on the advertising. First floor common area is not air-conditioned (kitchen, dining room, living area) even though they advertise as a Luxury Home. It is Very, very hot and uncomfortable.
The only saving grace was being able to jump in the pool to cool off. The pictures also make it look like the pool goes inside the house too but it does not.
We did have a few problems when we got there that we addressed to the Property Manager.
Ice maker and dishwasher did not work the entire time we were. Repairman came by to fix the ice maker and he said he could not fix it. So bags of ice had to be bought. I feel this was something that should have been checked out and fixed before we got there. The house leaks during a heavy rain and upstairs master bath leaks on dining room table.
I would look at other homes at mavrentals.com before renting Case de Agua.
The house is gorgeous and conveniently located. Our house manager, Susan, was exceptional at making us feel comfortable, being responsive, and making sure we had everything to make our stay a success. Our maid, Carolina, arrived every morning and did an excellent job. The chefs, Olger and Iran, made delicious food. I really couldn't have asked for anything else. Highly recommended!
our group was 5 women who didn't know each other that well - we were all friends of K, who was having a big birthday and found Casa de Agua for us
the house has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, so that reduced the potential for getting on each other's nerves a LOT
the decor is gorgeous and the living room's ceiling goes way way up - definitely a luxurious feel
note that 2 of the bedrooms are in a self-contained apartment downstairs, that does not get as much light as the quarters on the ground floor and the floor above - it was fine for us because we 2 felt free to go up and use the living room, upstairs kitchen, decks and pool, but those living downstairs may feel a little left out - also one of the bedrooms down there has no separation from the living room/kitchen
the house is not really close to any restaurants or shops, so you may want to rent a car (or use taxis, as we did)
the house and pool were meticulously cleaned each day except Sundays
the best part about the house is that you will see amazing wildlife literally in the backyard - sitting in the pool you can easily see sloths, toucans, iguanas and monkeys
