“Outstanding - THIS is the place you want to stay.”

Las Cascadas and its hosts were excellent in every way. I've been to 31 countries and this was one of the best accommodation experiences I've ever had. It is in a beautiful setting only a short walk to town but far enough not to ever hear noise. The place was IMMACULATE! The rooms were big and modern and the staff was 100% on the ball. You can't ask for two nicer hosts than Gary and Catalina - the kind of people that make you feel like you're family on a visit.. We looked around at as lot of places while we were there and you won't find a better place in Quepos. After 20 years of travel, this is the first time I've taken the time to write a review - it was that good.

Catalina, Gary and their oldest son Dallas made us feel right at home with their always friendly and helpful service that always surpassed our expectations. Thanks for making us feel so welcomed.

I just returned from a trip to Quepos, Costa Rica and stayed in the Condotel Las Cascadas. The place was awesome, so much more than a motel room but the same rates. The staff was so awesome helping us to make arrangements for activities. They even changed all of our outgoing lodging in San Jose at our request. We asked for direction and they just did it for us. It was the same for taxis. zip line tours, fishing and dinner recommendations. I will only stay here when in Quepos. I have traveled 16 different couintries and have never been treated any beter.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Las Cascadas while on a business trip to Quepos. Myself and several other colleagues stayed there for 9 days and will definitely be using this fantastic place again!

The hosts made us feel like family, were always available, helped us figure out travel plans to nearby sites and Manuel Antonio (a ten minute drive) and ran an immaculate and safe haven for travelers. The breakfasts (upon request for $6.95) were a bonus and cooked on site with fresh produce- eggs, local fruits and fresh juice.

Our rooms opened up to a view of the ocean and we were a 5-minute walk from downtown Quepos. A pool and outdoor bar is adjacent to the rooms. The fact that other travelers in Costa Rica boasted specifically of Las Cascadas speaks highly of this place and the hard work the hosts put into to making your stay memorable. We are already planning for next year.

this place was very different than how it had been described to us. it is run down and not well maintained. all of the furniture was extremely uncomfortable, old and grungy. the place is pretty poorly put together and things that are so easy to repair or replace were left untouched - like scratched toilet seats, rusted drains, oxidized bathroom fixtures. it was creepy. we left early and bailed on our money because we were so disappointed and just wanted to relax on our vacation. the rooms were clean, but the outside and pool areas were poorly maintained. definitely would not recommend with young children. the stairs in our place were VERY hazardous. internet rarely worked. the location is sketchy and far away from the manuel antonio area, which is where you want to be.

Hello,
We are dissappointed that due to a lack of communication about guest needs, this guest posted two unfavorable reviews. Their first negative review (titled: overpriced, misleading....) more accurately reflects the problems they had with our property, and our extensive response to that review addresses those concerns. We very rarely have anyone leave our property dissatisfied, and regret that this guest felt the need to post twice, with the second post (this one) being more malicious than accurate. We hope that you take the time to read our numerous positive reviews that we think more accurately reflect our wonderful property and customer service. Thank you for considering Las Cascadas. Pura Vida.

Hidden in the hills above Quepos, Las Cascadas makes for a great hotel to "kick back" in. The Hotel Property boasts beautiful green grounds with views of the Pacific Ocean, outdoor "honor system" mini bar next to the pool and spacious clean modern rooms. The Owners Gary and Catalina have put their hearts and heads into the details of their business. They showed us this attention in a heartfelt way when my Wife and I had a small emergency, they allowed us full use of their fax, internet and made us feel at home in their personal residence while the problem was resolved. A definite must stay. Try the "dome room" honey Moon Suite, great views of the Pacific.

We spent 6 nights in this accommodation. Gary and his family are very welcoming and helpful. We especially apprecited Dallas's help with the luggage and accessing the internet. We had the opportunity to stay in 3 different rooms as Gary was kind enough to fit us in as we reserved very late in the Christmas season. Our favouite room was the one pictured with the ocean view and has a nice upper bath and courtyard. . It also is nicely roomy and has a nice kitchen . The hotel is quiet, safe and has a very Costarican feel. It is in Quepos, just a few blocks walk to restaurants and the waterfront. The weekly farmer's market is superb, where you will find tons of fresh vegies, fish and fruit. It is a good place if you want to have a quiet and safe place to relax in or return to from the very busy touist areas of Manuel Antonio.
