Description: SALT is a true oasis in the jungle. On the way to the National Park, look for the bright black and orange sign on the left hand side - step in and be transported into the rain forest! One of Manuel Antonio's only true "gringo" style restaurants with seafood and Italian specialties inspired by the owner's Brooklyn heritage, where he grew up eating and working in some of NYC's finest restaurants. The setting is the jungle - the service is upscale; but the vibe and the prices are purely down to earth. Start with an appetizer or salad (starting from $9.00) and enjoy a full menu with specialties from the sea and some comfortable pasta dishes - our highest priced entree is only $17.00 - a delectable Ahi Tuna. Like Music? Check us out between 3 and 6 PM every day for Happy Hour where a Jimmy Buffet vibe takes over the airwaves or come in for a candle lit dinner where a new age vibe makes the jungle come alive!

We went here to see a great band, Ben Jammin, and stayed for food and drinks. I would strongly suggest to the owner that he keep live music playing into the evening to help compete with other establishments in the area. A couple of parties came into the restaurant while we were there, and left when they found out the band was wrapping at 7. But at 7 pm, people are just arriving after their showers and day at the beach. Anyway, delicious food and drinks with great ambiance.

We enjoyed the view very much the jungle is almost in the dining room. I had the mussels in white wine sauce. It was a little greasy but the mussels were fresh. Also the seafood linguine dabablo was really spicy and I am from the south! My husband doesn't eat much seafood so they made his with chicken instead. There is no kids menu and they really only serve seafood.

Went to salt looking for good seafood Manuel Antonio. The setting is amazing. You eat against a wild jungle backdrop. Unforgeatable. Had the gaspacio and tuna steak which were ok but not amazing. We were a bit shocked whenvthe bill for 140 dollars came with 2 people with wine and a liquor.

We saw the sign on our drive to our hotel and decided we should come back. All in all a great find.

We dined mostly on seafood: mussels, tuna (tartare), Dorado, snapper, and corvina (and the truffle filet obviously). All of it was fresh and delicious. The service was great. The atmosphere, being nestled right up against the rain forest, is also spectacular.

Definitely recommended!
