“Great place to stay in Manuel Antonio”
Reviewed September 8, 2013 via mobile

The hotel is nice and clean. It is a few miles away from the national park but as most hotels here are. When I visited the hotel had a room special for $56 a night with breakfast for two, but the usual rate is around $70. If I traveled to Manuel Antonio would stay again no doubt! The pool is nice too! It's a great bang for the buck considering the destination is an expensive one! Recommended for the tourist on a budget!

Location is very convenient, close to town Quepos , Parque Manuel Antonio and beaches, bus stops right there. Hotel has 2 pools plus 2 Jacuzzi, lots of tropical plants and plenty of chair to relax around pools and gardens. Many different rooms to choose (during low season) fully furnished and comfortable, air conditioner.
Recommended to include breakfast, it's good, generous and served by pool. They also offer
lunch and dinner, reputed to be one of best restaurant around at affordable values.
Parking is included as well Internet.
Staff attentive, efficient and quite friendly.

Room Tip: close to pool, best the top suite, larger than 4 standard room, huge balcony, rap around views, high...

The hotel most of the time has a special. Get those rooms since they are clean, all have a fan and some have AC. There's wifi even in the rooms. The hotel has 2 pools. Would definitely go again if I visited Manuel Antonio.

We absolutely adored Mimos- the facilities are just perfect. The rooms are spacious & charming (we had a junior suite) and the outdoor patio area so peaceful with the sounds of jungle birds! The staff felt like family by the time we left, especially the bartender! The pizza is amazing (hotel is run by an Italian family). The landscaping is lush & beautiful and it truly felt like our little tropical home! I hope I will return here many times in the future!

After staying with local families learning Spanish for a few weeks, Hotel Mimos was exactly the get away that my family needed. The showers were glorious, lots of hot water and excellent water pressure. The best showers we had in Costa Rica.

The pool area was a delight. Our teenagers loved swimming in the pools and we loved the bar with the half price drinks happy hour in the afternoon. Yummy!

The lush garden areas make for a gorgeous atmosphere. The rooms were clean and comfortable with excellent air conditioning. There are safes in the rooms and a small refrigerator.

The bathrooms were upscale and contemporary. There were tvs with cable in our rooms too.

It was a bit difficult getting our luggage to our rooms, we arrived in a tropical storm with blinding rain and we had to drag our bag up really slippery cement paths and then had to drag them up a big flight of stairs. No one offered to help us. There are also rooms down lower without the stairs.

It is a low rise development built into the hillside.

It is not close to the beach or town so you need a taxi or bus to get to the beach. But that makes it quieter and more private. It was our favorite place that we stayed in all of Costa Rica.

Room Tip: If you have trouble with stairs, ask for a room in the lower areas. Dragging our luggage up the sta...

Stayed at Hotel Mimos for 1 night in June 2013. It was low season, so got a room for around $50. The bar is fantastic, the bartender makes the best drinks we had in Costa Rica. Go at Happy Hour for the deals on drinks. The room was very nice, clean, spacious.
The pool area is fantastic, very nice. The only negative was the shower was cold, only stayed a night, so just dealt with it, unsure if this is an issue in other rooms. The front desk gal called a cab for me when asked, but at times seemed like I was disrupting her from what she was doing, not the most welcoming. There is a bus stop very close, couple hundred feet I would guess and will take you to quepos or manural antonio for like 35 cents.
