We stayed in villa 411 for 4 nights. It was a 3 bedroom, with great views. Villa was very well maintained. Private beach was in a nice cove, but down a very steep hill. Recommend having the hotel drive you down and back (its free). It was great getting groceries (esp beer and liquor) delivered as well (10% surcharge). Note the liquor prices in the nearby liquor store were extremely high. Stock up on the duty free liquor when you head for Costa Rica. The room service and local restaurants that delivered were not that good, but it was convenient. Staff was warm and friendly.

Hi Rich.....thanks for the review......your group was a lot of fun and we're glad that you enjoyed your stay....the Buena Vista 3 Bedroom Premium Villa was a great fit for the 9 of you! Buying premium alcohol at the duty free in the baggage claim area of the San Jose airport is a great tip.......very inexpensive compared to our regular liquor store prices.....so sorry to hear that you were disappointed in the restaurants that provide our room service delivery....we will certainly pass that on to their owners......thanks again for booking with us and we'd love to see you back again!

We (2 adults 5 kids) stayed at Tulemar in the casa panorama south. Superb view, super clean, lots of room. It was perfect for our family. Only a 5 minute walk down to the beach where the kids had hours of fun buggie boarding and drinking fruity drinks at the beach resturant.

I think Tulemar is the perfect location for Manuel Antonio. Only a 5 minute walk to the gate, and then you are into the town... It has many restaurants, stores, grocery store, etc.....

Kimberly the host of casa panorama south was fantastic. She setup the vacation buggy.. tour of the rainforest, and national park tour. We also visited the butterfly/reptile exhibit in town.

Remarkable time… we even went during the “raining season”. Yes it rained a bit most days.. but you are in the rain forest.. it is was we expected. I think it kept the temperature down a few degrees also which was nice.

We want to come back with other family members.
Actually.. maybe you should not book there.... that way its available to us when we go back!!!!

Room Tip: casa panarama south.... off season its only 250.. 2 floors great views etc......

We stayed in Tulemar for 5 nights in 121 Bungalow on Oct-2012. The place is Paradise! the Bungalow, the swimming pools, the private beach and the walks to the beach are all great. We loved our 2 rooms Bungalow with its panoramic view to the ocean. We used its kitchen for breakfast and sometimes also for dinner. They have a private beach and we had a lot of fun there.. only the heavy rain got our kids (14 years old twin boys and 7 years old girl) out of the water.. There are kayaks and boogie boards for free for you to have fun with. We also enjoyed a great lunch at the beach and lots of fruit shakes…
The staff was very helpful and friendly especially Chris our concierge who took care of all our needs - making reservations in the restuarnats, calling taxis for us and helped us to hire surfing boards and even took us in his car to the nearby supermarket..

Pure Vida Chris and Tulemar’s staff.. you made our vacation in MA - amazing! we hope to get back again..

Room Tip: Bungalow 121 have great panoramic view to the ocean, it is near the swimming pools, not far from the...

Beautiful resort. On a large hill, so if you don't like to walk up and down large hills, it's ca challenge unless you wait on the shuttle to take you down to the beach. Lot's of monkeys and a few sloths. Keep your doors shut at night, because the monkeys may break into your room. Service, A+

We just got back from a week at Tulemar and had an amazing experience. We rented a bungelow and really enjoyed the accommodations. We had a semi-kitchen with 2 burners, a fridge and microwave - which was very helpful so we could eat breakfast and lunch at the resort. The private beach was the biggest attraction for my family and it was beautiful. To access you could either take a resort van or we walked down the steep drive most of the time. The walk to the beach is gorgeous and you are actually walking through a jungle. This place is worth the price especially for the beach access!! I couldn't drag my 7 and 9 year old out of the water! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and helped us with all our needs - either at the beach or by helping to book tours. We used 2 of the 4 (I believe) pools and both were close to our bungelow and very relaxing. Hands down, when we come back to Manuel Antonio we will be staying at Tulemar!!! One last thing, we woke up to a family of monkeys on our roof when night which will always be a lasting memory for my family.
