Last week I was in Quepos and went to El Parador for the afternoon and watched the sunset from the terrace at the main restaurant. We ordered sushi (dragon rolls, tiger rolls) and a couple of bottles of a nice Argentinian white wine. I was very well impressed with the installations. One of the staff showed us a beautiful suite with the most wonderful unobstructed view of Manuel Antonio. The suite had a huge balcony with a jacuzzi, the main bedroom was large and beautifully decorated, the living room had a balcony that overlooked the pool of the building. The new building is very tastefully decorated with all the modern comforts of a resort. I highly recommend this beautiful place in the middle of nowhere with great amenities and ocean views.

We had a lovely stay at the Parador!

It's remote, but they have shuttles both to town and to the National Park that you can sign up for in the lobby.

If the rooms had a clock, the bellboy hadn't left the luggage to get wet in the rain and the rooms had wifi, it would get a 5. Oh, and I didn't like that you had to walk through the restaurant to get to the rest of the hotel. Rooms or pool from the lobby, you'll walk through peoples' meals.

Grounds are lovely with gardens and statues. Pools are nice, bars are nice. Restaurant is wonderful and the view is breathtaking!

Bed was comfortable, had lots of pillows and they spread flower petals on the bed.

Luggage stand present, and when the ground floor patio door wouldn't lock, they sent maintenance over immediately to fix it. Which they did.

Bathroom towels are small, white scratchy things. The pool towels are much nicer. Shower water pressure great and temperature hot. No tub, it was a stand up shower with a glass door. I like that, but if you prefer a bath, then you'll have to ask.

I was in a ground floor room and there was no noise from overhead, though the room was filled. I was also close to both the pool and restaurant, but neither could be heard in the room. Love that.

Monkeys play in the trees in the afternoons. They're adorable to watch and make the stay even better.

TV had a few English channels and that was nice before bed. I'd return in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: I don't think there is a bad room. 102 was lovely and I could get wifi weakly from the patio...

Superb service, excellent location, great food. Four pools, one for individual tastes. Bars. Friendly service. Peace and quiet. Close to nature. Ocean on the horizon. Just a fairy tale :)) honestly recommend. I'll be back there alone and with groups!

Truly a resort hotel, they offer everything and amazing service to boot! The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the property is full of fun areas to hang out in. We were there for two days and were still finding new things to see and do. We loved walking through the monkey trails on property - saw a sloth right there grooming himself! And the staff was great at pointing out where the monkeys were on property. They have a great family pool with swim up bar and a wonderful adult pool with great views. The drink and food prices were very reasonable for such a nice resort. Love that they had hot breakfast items in addition to fruits, cereals and pastries. Beds are comfy and they provide plenty of towles for both bath and pool (you get pool towels AT the pool, making it easy) I can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: Rooms in upper floors are more expensive, but have great views.

Hotel Parador is first rate all the way. I stayed there at the end of March. I absolutely loved every minute of it. The property is amazing. Beautiful flowers, birds, lizards, monkeys, butterflies and more. Close proximity to an amazing beach not to mention the park. Must go on the Dolphin Catamaran excursion while you are there. Absolute slice of heaven. i will be back to Parador for sure. Hopefully soon :-) Pura Vida!

We had our best service since we've been in Costa Rica (8 days) from Diego at the La Fragata restaurant at the upper part of the Parador hotel. Diego was an awesome waiter - totally make you want to come back to the restaurant - very proud of all his work - and it shows? Highly recommended!

Room Tip: We loved our room - ocean view and close to the pool!

My wife and I spent 8 nights at hotel Parador at the end of April - right at the end of the dry season. The hotel was fabulous - we have never been treated better at any hotel anywhere in the world. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The room comfortable and clean. By far the best feature of the hotel was its location - the hotel has done an admirable job of protecting a piece of the forest, and making a highly habitable place for animals of all kinds. Not to mention, Manuel Antonio park is just down the road. A must-visit for any sun and animal lover.

Thank you so much for telling us about your stay at Parador! We work very hard to ensure that the rain forest surrounding our property is protected allowing its inhabitants to roam free for our guests to enjoy. We hope we made an animal lover out of you and would love for you and your wife to return to Parador for another wonderful vacation!
