Perhaps locks on the (very low, look-overable) toilet doors was just an expense too far for this hostel. To describe the accommodation as basic would be an understatement but at these prices you can't complain when you're just a coconut's throw from the national park. You get a bed and a sheet. That's it. Bring your own towels and soap because they are not provided even at extra cost. Tip - there is a soap dispenser in the bar! I couldn't stay there longer than a couple of nights because I was fed up of dripping dry and the anxiety of whether someone was going to open the door to the loo while I was in there! However, if you can put up with these inconveniences it's a budget traveller's dream. There's a lovely convivial atmosphere in the fairylit bar as 80s power ballad videos play on the TV and the staff are all lovely. And the breakfast. Ah, yes that breakfast. It was so good and so cheap that even after we had changed hotels in search of a towel we still came by every morning to partake.

The rooms are really foggy and smelly and dusty. The matrasses are bed as well are the pillows. They only have two toilets without a lock and two cold showers. This place only got high reviews because of the restaurant. I would not recommend this place to sleep.

We loved Costa Linda. The accomodations are very basic but it was clean and had everything that we needed. Management was incredibly kind and helpful. They had a huge, delicious breakfast for only $4 and a great, social bar for the evenings. Plus, you can't beat the location - just one block from the beach.

Room Tip: I would recommend the rooms on the 2nd floor.

The cheapest way to see beautiful Manuel Antonio, I'm sure. The location is ideal - right next to the national park entrance. Breakfasts are massive and very fair price.
Bathrooms and bedrooms are very basic but you get what you pay for, of course.

A great place to stay if visiting Manuel Antonio, it is right in the heart of town, 150m from the beach and about the same to the entrance of the National Park.
The rooms are light as they all open into a small garden area, but are basic with shared bathrooms but at $10 per person per night you can't complain, especially in this area! The price is $10 per person no matter how many are in your room so it's a great option for solo travellers as they get there own room for $10. The owner was helpful and friendly, and there is a nice restaurant area attached which serves great, cheap, large breakfasts and is open to the public for other meals too.
Look out for the Squirrel Monkies who use the blue ropes above the roads to travel through the area each day!

Room Tip: We had an ok room on the ground floor which was fine but ask to see one of the ones upstairs which have a communal balcony and are probably more airy.
