“Best Drinks in Town”
Reviewed April 16, 2012

We did not stay at the hostel but we spent a lot of time at the restaurant here during our 2 days in Manuel Antonio. The drinks are 1/2 the price of most places in the area and they have awesome margaritas, pina coladas, etc. (1,500 colones each). We also tried the salads and the zombie burger. Both are recommended.

So glad we were lucky enough to get the last room. It was only a 5 minute walk to the Manuel Antonio National Park and to the beach. The beds weren't that comfortable but the rooms were clean. I loved the tropical garden that separated the rooms from the lobby/restaurant. The breakfast servings were enormous and could easily be shared with two people. Not to mention the food and bar drinks were delicious and prices were the best deal in town! Staff was very friendly!

Great deal for a great breakfast! The owner is such a nice guy and greeted us, regular customers, with a smile and many mucho gustos. Dinner there was fine and affordable. The tables are in a pleasant little garden. We went there every morning for our breaky and it was a great start of the day.

I really enjoyed staying at Backpackers Paradise Costa Linda! The atmosphere is great, the location convenient, right between the park and the beach. It has a nice restaurant with reasonable prices. Breakfast is great! For only 1800 colones (about 3,5 dollars) you get a fruit plate with pancake and a plate with gallo pinto (rice and beans), scrambled eggs and bread. Very good :)

The rooms are very basic, but that's what you should expect for only 10 USD per night. The matresses are very thin! The showers were also cold, but clean. Oh, and you get a towel, very nice :)

I'm very positive about this place. I loved Oskar, the guy who managed the frontdesk and restaurant. Very kind and helpful!
Great place to stay in the Manuel Antonio area, you'll meet lots of nice people here. I would recommend it!

I had a curry chicken here that was very distinct from all the other food I had in Costa Rica. I love the casados, but this was a nice break from the monotony.

Excellent service was also provided by the young waiter and the cooking staff. They were all friendly and attentive.

If you visit the park and want a drink and a meal, I would highly recommend this place.

Conveniently located approximately 150 meters from the public beach in one direction and an entrance to Manuel Antonio National Park in the other, Costa Linda is a great place to eat, drink, and be merry!

For $3 USD, breakfast includes a huge plate of fresh fruit, one pancake, eggs, rice and beans, bread, and coffee or tea; you can't beat it, especially in this area! Breakfast is served until 10 a.m.

Also unbeatable are there cocktail and beer prices: $3 USD for caiparinhas (really good!), margaritas, etc. and $1.75 USD for beers.

An added bonus is the music videos the bartenders play, everything from Celia Cruz to a mash up of the best 80s hits.

The bar area, which is the livelier place to sit, unfortunately has stools with no backs which makes it a bit uncomfortable for long lingering, but it's a fun place nonetheless.

We stayed at a nicer, air-con place down the road, so I can't speak to the rooms!
