“Delicious pizza and garlic bread!”
Reviewed August 21, 2014

We loved the pizza, wine, and garlic bread. The place also had live music by a local Tico. Definitely recommend!

“Excellent food, but overpriced”
Reviewed August 20, 2014

We enjoyed our meal very much, but were irritated by the unwanted commentary and advice that was probably well-meant, but came across as patronising. Two bottles of non-branded still water came to about 14 euro: this is exceptionally high. We had to call the waiter to ask for a beer and some wine: the delay in having an opportunity to ask made me wonder if the restaurant was in fact unlicensed (no drinks or prices in the menu, only soft drinks). The waiter did not return with the change from our cash payment, despite the service charge and sales tax being included, which we felt was rude, and presumptuous. The night before we paid about 20 dollars more for a 5-star meal with far more food and drink, so the Victoria is not great value, despite the excellence of its food.

“Fantastic Food”
Reviewed August 18, 2014

We really enjoyed our meal there. A little fancier than other places around, but still casual enough and comfortable. Try to get a table by the back because it open to the jungle. The pizza is fantastic.

“Italian restaurant: Great atmosphere/average food”
Reviewed August 16, 2014

This is a fancy Italian restaurant, with a beautiful dining area, very attentive servers, and live music when we visited, Probably has a nice jungle view too, but at night, it's all dark out the windows. We had went for the pizza, based on the Trip Advisor recommendations. To our disappointment, the pizza was only average (El Wagon was much better). Our teenager had calmari, and it was about the same. Unfortunately, the bill was more in line with the atmosphere than the food.

“Great experience!”
Reviewed August 16, 2014 via mobile

Liked it so much , we ate there twice! The first night we took the waiters suggestions and ate the chipotle tuna, spag. with meatballs, and chicken franc. All were outstanding. The spaghetti had a chunky marinara with fresh chopped herbs with a flavor that was like homemade. The sangria was excellent as well. Also , do not miss the bananas flambé, for desert . We came back for the pizza on the second visit and the spicy, spicy meat lovers and the chicken spicy pesto. Both were excellent as well.
