Owner description: In the shadow of Manuel Antonio Park, Titi Canopy Tour has 12 zip line cables, 22 platforms, 2 suspension bridges, a rappel platform, and BRAND NEW Tarzan Swing! Nestled in primary and secondary rainforest, an abundance of wildlife can be seen including 4 types of monkeys, two and three toed sloths, poison dart frogs, toucans, and many, many more. We are less than 10 minutes from Manuel Antonio and 5 minutes from Quepos, which makes us the closest canopy tour in the area. You can enjoy our tour and not spend all your time riding on a bus!

Our guides preferred using nicknames. Edwin has spikey hair and we called him Porcupine. Monkey is a great climber and he has a tail and we called him Monkey. He doesn't have a tail, that was a joke, but he is a good climber and that is no joke. Anyways... 10 thrilling zip lines + 1 repel + 1 Tarzan swing = a great morning activity. The tour is non stop action with a short intermission for water. The guides know the forest and in addition to the zip lines they will tell you all about the wildlife and flora. There is heavy emphasis on safety first and I always felt secure and in good hands with Porcupine and Monkey. This was my first time on a canopy tour and I would do it again.

“First time zip line”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 1, 2012

Our guides were Luis and Eduard. Both were very knowledgable about the area and experienced at zipping. They were nice to talk with and a lot of fun. We did have the advantage of it being just the 4 of us. That made the entire experience more personable as we were able to take our time and ask questions. They had a nice snack waiting at the end of our tour consisting of fruit juices, a candy bar, and fresh fruit. Highly recommend this tour.

“First time zip line adventure is exhilarating at Titi Canopy Tour, Costa Rica”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2012

If you think that only muscular 25 year old guys can handle a zip line adventure, think again! Even Senior baby boomers can enjoy this breathtaking experience. One of the most eco-friendly habitats to find zip lines would be in Costa Rica. For us, San Jose CR is a 3.5 hour flight from Dallas. Once we arrived, there were numerous options for land tours and excursions. The Titi Canopy Tour is in Quepos, two hours from San Jose.

This Tour is located 15 minutes from the famous Manuel Antonio National Park and Quepos Airport. Our tour included ten ziplines and took us 2+ hours to complete. After each zip line we would hike a short distance through beautiful rainforest. Along the way we saw lots of wildlife that are native to the region.

A stellar safety record and reputation are what the Titi Canopy Tour are known for. All the cable lines were secure and operated by expert young men who harnessed us up and shoved us off each sturdy platform. But first, the guys gave us instruction and a practice session. Finally I would describe zip lines as "a must-do experience" for anyone who has a zest for life's adventures.

“I just don't think ziplining is my thing”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2012

the guides were awesome, patient and knowledgeable, but the sound the zipline makes as you're going down it, the speed and the fact that I felt like I was going to hit my legs on trees if the weren't straight ahead of me kept me from enjoying the views from high up.

also, as our guide, Monkey, was demonstrating how to use the zipline (on a non-secured, short zipline before the actual ziplines began) fell about 15 feet to the ground because the demo zipline broke off of the tree! It wasn't terribly reassuring, but the guides took the time to explain that the demo ziplines are not checked daily and have no backup like the ones on the course.

Thank you for your review. We're sorry that you didn't find zip-lining to be your thing but we appreciate the fact that you tried it! As far as the demo cable goes, I would like to clarify a couple of things. The demo cable is only used by our guides to show our guests how to zip-line. Our guests never use the demo cable. Also, it is only about 7 ft off the ground at its highest, and with the guides weight, it sags down to 4 ft. The guide was not injured nor was he in any danger of being injured from this. As you mentioned, the demo cable is not constructed nor secured like the actual cable. However, from now on, we are going to be checking it on our daily inspections each morning. Thanks for visiting Quepos/Manuel Antonio and I hope you enjoyed your trip to Costa Rica!
