I am still dreaming of the nearly perfect dinner that we had at La Luna. We were staying at a resort down the street and wanted a special dinner that we could not get at the restaurant there. So we took to Trip Advisor and found La Luna. I am so glad that we did.
The service was impeccable, the menu prices were fairly set and the wine list was so reasonable that when we placed our order I asked our server for a recommendation based on the meals we ordered and did not worry about the price point. He selected a delicious wine that was well priced for the quality. My husband ordered the seafood casserole and I went with the fresh ginger and panko breaded tuna. Both were superb and my tuna (cooked rare) was done to perfection. We listened to the reviews and had the pineapple raviolis for dessert. I lack the vocabulary to adequately describe how delicious and perfect the meal was for us. So I will use the most overused word in the English language, amazing.
There is live music, but it did not distract from the meal, it actually was a perfect accompaniment to our dining experience. As we were eating our dessert and enjoying our after dinner drinks, the duo played the most beautiful version of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah. I almost had a religious moment right there.
The only downside was the group of drunk women who were loud and obnoxious. Very poor representatives from the US. But it is not the restaurant's fault that they had annoying guests. Even they could not dampen our spirits, that is how good this restaurant was.
