“Perfect Romantic Dinner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 19, 2013

I am still dreaming of the nearly perfect dinner that we had at La Luna. We were staying at a resort down the street and wanted a special dinner that we could not get at the restaurant there. So we took to Trip Advisor and found La Luna. I am so glad that we did.

The service was impeccable, the menu prices were fairly set and the wine list was so reasonable that when we placed our order I asked our server for a recommendation based on the meals we ordered and did not worry about the price point. He selected a delicious wine that was well priced for the quality. My husband ordered the seafood casserole and I went with the fresh ginger and panko breaded tuna. Both were superb and my tuna (cooked rare) was done to perfection. We listened to the reviews and had the pineapple raviolis for dessert. I lack the vocabulary to adequately describe how delicious and perfect the meal was for us. So I will use the most overused word in the English language, amazing.

There is live music, but it did not distract from the meal, it actually was a perfect accompaniment to our dining experience. As we were eating our dessert and enjoying our after dinner drinks, the duo played the most beautiful version of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah. I almost had a religious moment right there.

The only downside was the group of drunk women who were loud and obnoxious. Very poor representatives from the US. But it is not the restaurant's fault that they had annoying guests. Even they could not dampen our spirits, that is how good this restaurant was.

Thank you for your wonderful review of our La Luna Restaurant and for choosing us for your last night in the Manuel Antonio area.

You choose some of our favorite menu items as we have the freshest fish around and our quality of service is second to none.

Indeed, our live music each night for tapas and dining is never distracting and adds to the wonderful Latin atmosphere.

Thank you for choosing us and thank you for sharing on this TripAdvisor forum.

Didnt stay at Gaia but went over for sunset and dinner! It did nit disappoint- the bartender was so sweet when I asked if he was our waiter he was like would you like me to be? And promptly spoke to the manager and served us! Fantastic service! What othe place would accommodate that! I'm also gluten free and they were able to cater to my need!

“The views the views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 11, 2013

WE had fun at the local spot. It was my birthday and some local friends took us out for an experience. We parked at the bottom of a hill and a nice staff member took us on a Golf Cart to the top of the hill and the restaurant. We found some couches near the bar and settled in. The views from the bar were outstanding. WE could see miles down the shoreline and the rain clouds were beginning to clear to present a sunset unlike any other we had seen on our trip so far. The Tapas were yummy and quick to be delivered. We were in time for the 2 for one special on drinks and i have a jalapeno Pineapple margarita that was outstanding. i do love Jalapenos and this drink had just the right combination of sweet and spicy to please my taste buds.

I would recommend this restaurant and especially the sunset Tapas and drinks. The food looked good but we were so spoiled by the food at our resort we did not have time to experience a full meal.

Thank you so much for sharing your Birthday experience with us here at La Luna Restaurant.

We are thrilled you enjoyed the views from the vantage point on top of Gaia Mountain. The views take in the rainforest as well as the Pacific Ocean are are truly breathtaking.
This combined with the glorious sunsets make for a truly unique experience not found in any other part of Quepos or Manuel Antonio.

Thank you for sharing your experience on this TripAdvisor forum.

“Sunset , Drinks and Dinner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 9, 2013

We arrived in time to watch the sunset. Fantastic view! They had 2 for 1 happy hour. Great live music. Just the right sound for dinner. We had two appetizers. Both were good but the sea bass cerviche was very good. # of the four had the Mahi and all cleaned their plates. I had the Scallops in a very nice white sauce. Never was rushed at dinner and had great service.
