We just returned from an incredible 10 day Costa Rica trip (Arenal, Monteverde, Manuel Antonio) planned through Catalina at CR Referrals (highly recommended). We are a family of 3 including our adult daughter.

We stayed 4 nights at The Falls Resort in MA which we loved. During our trip planning I asked Catalina for a recommendation for Easter dinner and she made reservations for us at La Luna.

It was very easy to take the public bus from the Falls to Gaia Hotel, 280 colones (about $.55cents) per person. When we reached the hotel we opted to walk up the hill and not take the offered golf cart. The hotel is perched on a hill and does have a spectacular view of the surrounding area. We got there early to be sure to see the sunset. We were a bit surprised that they did not have a larger bar area. It is a small area connected to the restaurant but they were having a 2-for-1 drink special so all was good!

Our dinner was very delicious and the service was amazing!

After dinner we started to walk back down the hill but one of the staff members caught us and suggested the golf cart, warning there could be snakes.

We are so glad we visited this restaurant on our last night in CR. It was a memorable and special experience.

We came here on our second to last night in Manuel Antonio but wish we had come sooner. We came during happy hour to watch the sunset, and were surprised at how great of a value their happy hour is. Not only are the views spectacular, but the live music added a nice touch. We sat in the lounge area during happy hour and moved to a table after happy hour for dinner. The service was great, you truly feel like you are at a Michelin rated place. Food was amazing, especially the shrimp pasta!! Don't miss this place!

My wife and I ate at the Gaia hotel (which seemed very nice) our last night in Costa Rica. We got there early to have drinks and get a good table to watch the sunset view (which is amazing there) The food was great and was definitely one of the best we had while in CR.

Good quality food in a great setting, with polite and attentive staff. The food is not cheap by local standards, but well worth it. What more could you ask for?

….so that you can go again! It's THAT good. We ate at several restaurants in Manuel Antonio during our stay (all good) but this was streets ahead in every respect. Also try to go early if you can, because the sun sets around 5.45pm and it is spectacular. We stayed on the ocean side of the street at Tulemar which boasts it's own amazing views, but high up on the hillside produces a panorama that must be one of the best vantage points for sunset in the entire area. We ate at La Luna on two consecutive nights and the food, service and general experience were impeccable both times. Aldo and Mario took care of us and they were wonderful. The service is really top-notch. The two-piece band was an unexpected treat with gentle music wafting over us as we dined. The food is a cut-above anything else we sampled during our stay, over the course of two days we had steak, fish, chicken, delicious appetizers (the gorgonzola tart and the mango and squash soup were outstanding) and decadent desserts including the lava cake. As another reviewer mentioned, the restaurant gladly agreed to make quesadillas (which wasn't on the menu) for my kids. That kind of above and beyond service, as well as the little attention to detail things like palette cleansers between courses makes La Luna an absolutely MUST VISIT. Thank you all for ending our vacation on such a high note.
