“Great food and nice ambience”
Reviewed December 29, 2012

We wanted to go to this restaurant because we heard a lot of good things about it. We were not disappointed!

We were not staying at the Hotel Gaia but this was not an issue at all.

The quality of the food was excellent. The ceviche was fantastic. For the entree, we had the Mahi Mahi and the tuna. The Mahi Mahi was wonderfully made. The tuna was good too, however the pieces were a bit too large for a sushi-like meal. On the other side, there was not enough vegetables with the fish. A little bit expensive but I think it's worth it.

The staff was very welcoming.

We had a great time.

We are thrilled our recent guests found our La Luna Restaurant to their total satisfaction.

Not a guest at Gaia......Not a problem.

We welcome all of our neighboring hotel guests to experience Gaia at least once during their visit to the Quepos/Manuel Antonio area. Many come back more than once.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience.

“Lovely setting and welcoming staff”
Reviewed December 26, 2012

My husband and I spent Christmas Night here, with our 18 and 8 year old daughters. We had a lovely meal, wonderful sunset, friendly waitstaff, etc. Service was a bit slow for our taste, ended up being there 3 1/2 hours, which was a good hour longer than I prefer, even on Christmas ; - ) But food was good and the people were genuinely helpful and glad we were there, so that goes a long way when you're dining with a 8 year old... Going for sunset was smart for photos, but it was a bit warm that evening, so going at 8p would have been more comfortable.

Thank you for spending Christmas Eve with us at La Luna Restaurant.

We had a very special menu that evening which was sold out within one day of advertizing. We are glad you and your family enjoyed the atmosphere of La Luna along with the service and cuisine.

We are always happy to accommodate requests special meals especially for our younger guests. No request is too cumbersome for either our waitstaff or kitchen staff.

“gorgeous views, great food and service”
Reviewed December 21, 2012

Watching the sun set from the restaurant is just beautiful. Food was excellent and all the wait staff were extremely attentive but not overly so. Great place for happy hour drinks and tapas, or for a full and elegant dinner.

“Elegant”
Reviewed December 21, 2012

Of the 10 or so restaurants we visited in Manuel Antonio/Quepos, La Luna was the most elegant. Beautiful setting, great view (in the daylight - try to get there before dark and get a window seat). Service was great, food good. It's located fairly high, golf carts shuttle you from the parking area to/from the hotel/restaurant.

Well, thank you. Elegance with the best view in town, best service in town and best cuisine in town all combine for a very special dinner experience. We are like no other in the local area.

We are thrilled you had a 5 star experience. Our experienced executive chef along with his staff create something truly special each afternoon and evening. Mouth watering dishes like Mahi Mahi, Swordfish, Pork Tenderloin, Sushi, Vegan dishes etc. all make for a true gastronomic experience.

All this in a laid back, friendly atmosphere with local musicians play during the evening starting at 5 PM.
