“Rude management.”
Reviewed August 12, 2012

We stayed at the hotel associated with this restaurant for 2 nights in the beginning of June 2012. The accommodations were excellent, but the restaurant repeatedly failed to deliver. The service was okay, at best, but one incident really stands out in my mind. While having breakfast there on the day of departure my friend ordered French toast. When it came out 20 minutes later, it was a lump of cold, soggy, burnt bread...completely unedible (and this girl eats everything). When she politely asked for something else, she was told okay, but the ft was not taken off of the bill. When we asked again we were told "you ordered it, eat it", by the man with the piercing eyes (don't remember his name), and he also informed us "we need to be careful of what we order, next time". There won't be a next time...I would not recommend this place, at all. Be cognizant of what You order, if you do go there.

“Fairly Decent”
Reviewed August 9, 2012

The atmosphere is fairly alright. Life music was good on the weekends, but actually enjoy whatever music they were streaming before the band got on. I ordered the ribs here and whatever sauce they had on them made my lips burn and peal for two weeks, so strange and uncomfortable.

“Excellent Restaurant!”
Reviewed July 7, 2012

Went to this restaurant for lunch and loved everything about it!

The decor is really nice; you can tell that a lot of care went into it. And, its setting is stunning...lots of flowers and trees, with a beautiful view of the ocean.

We ordered the fresh tuna and a fresh white fish...both were absolutely divine. Also really liked the complimentary homemade nacho chips and black bean dip we received before our meals; they were addictive and perfect with an ice-cold beer! Everything was so good!

In addition, we loved the resident cat and dog!! They were so sweet, friendly, and well-behaved, and they added a cosy feeling to this already-lovely restaurant. I could not imagine the restaurant without them! :) Learned that the dog was a rescue, too, which was nice.

The prices were expensive by Costa Rican standards, although that seems to be the case with all the restos in Manuel Antonio, not only at this place. But, at least we got a lot in return. Thank you for a wonderful meal and beautiful environment!
