The hotel is situated on a cliff overlooking the ocean and the entrance to the Park is outside the front gate! The staff are professional and friendly and attentive to every need (there are very things they didn't think if first!). The rooms were luxurious and modern and food in the restaurant was very authentic and expertly prepared. You will want for nothing here.

Dear Guest!

We feel honored and thankful for your wonderful review!

Our Hotel opened its door 3.5 years ago, we designed our accommodations to provide comfort at first, we want to be the place to go when visiting the amazing National Park, proving great comfortable beds with egyptian linens, feather mattress top and pillows, rainy showers, a complete and generous breakfast, great food and all together with a great caring and helpful staff.

We are working and improving each day in renovations and updates to provide the best experience to all our guests.

We hope to see you again in the near future,

Sincerely,

Your friends at Hotel San Bada

I just got back from my honeymoon in Costa Rica and Hotel San Bada was our last stop. This is the perfect place to end the adventure. The hotel has amazing views, great beaches, and the national park is right there. You can just walk to either one. There staff was very friendly and helpful. The honeymoon service was over the top. Flowers, chocolates and every person on staff knew who we were. Even the owners of the hotel checked with us everyday and knew us by first name. They were great! We treated ourselves to a couples massage and the spas view is great. You feel like you are in the jungle. It is in the national park basically.
They offered a very unique tour where you go about 1 hour outside of town to the Mulgari waterfalls. It is the owners private land, its amazing. Go swimming in beautiful waterfalls. There is also a horseback ride and private lunch included. This is not any lunch though. A family that lives up in the mountains on the land has you into there home and you have an authentic Costa Rican lunch on a wood fired stove. Its amazing! All the food just comes steps away and they will show you where it is all growing. This really was out of the 15 different tours and activities the most unforgettable!! I would highly recommend this tour.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a room that faces the ocean. The view is crazy good!

Dear Tyler!

In one word WOW! Thank you very much for your great review and for choosing our Hotel as part of your honeymoon trip in Costa Rica.

For us it was a great pleasure to have you both at our Resort, we feel happy that you enjoyed our private Mulguri Waterfalls Tour, for our tripadvisor readers, Mulguri is located in a private 27 hect property in the mountains, with pristine waterfalls, abundant vegetation and in the middle of a small village with friendly people, Quebrada Arroyo.

What makes this tour special is the privacy and exclusiveness, the groups are small, you explore a unique part of Costarica which is not crowded as other turistic parts.

Thank you for pointing out our special details that we made for this special ocassion and we are glad that all our staff and service were of your satisfaction.

Please feel free and welcome to visit us as many times you can! We hope we can meet you again in the future!

Sincerely,

Your friends at Hotel San Bada

This was one of my favorite hotels because the monkeys reside in the trees right in the back of the hotel. If you get up at around 5 AM you will see the monkeys moving and waking up. Many of the monkeys will come over and actually come onto the hotel balcony so be careful. The hotel has a lovely pool and is within walking distance to the park. It also has an amazing view of the sunset on top of the hotel. My room was wonderfully appointed!

The owner of this hotel is very lucky with his great staff. Christian Porras is so impressive! Great room, good food, nice view, nice pools but the staff made all the difference. Derek and Jeffrey were also extremely helpful and pleasant. Didn't come across one employee who wasn't above-average.

Thank you all for making the trip to Costa Rica more special!!

This was the second and last beach destination of Caravan Tour, we think the company save the best for the last, the location makes this hotel so wonderful, when we arrived Caravan had a happy hour for us, what a detail! Great of quality of the cocktails, dinner was buffet same as the other places we stayed with Caravan. The beds were similar to the JW Marriott quality, nice jungle views. We decided to have a night walk in the neighbor after having dinner and it was a nice surprise, there are lot of places to eat and have drinks around the main road. Next morning we visited the park early in the morning, we saw a bunch of wildlife including monkeys, sloths, raccoons and tropical plants. The beach was magical, Fausto told us it is the best beach in Costa Rica and he wasn't wrong.

We felt very comfortable staying at this four star hotel overlooking the rainforest of the park, it was recommended by friends that visited it on a tour. We enjoyed so much the idea of the proximity to the national park and saving time in taking a bus or taxi.
Our room in the 3 floor suited us fine with views of the forest, with coffee, my recommendation is to add tea supplies too. My wife and I hall upstairs to the sixth floor which was a surprise, incredible Pacific Ocean view in an intimate atmosphere with a bar and a pool next to it, bravo!
The staff spoke good English and service was ok, I would stay here again for a perfect 1st, 2nd and more visits to Manuel Antonio.

Room Tip: Maykel and Silvia both are waiters at the restaurant ask for them to take your orders

This place has a great location, close to the nice beach of the national park. The other beach is public. We stayed on the second floor, nice wood bed, nice bed sheets, high ceiling, and the bathroom was nice. The staff is very friendlym they were always greeting us. We saw a lot of wildlife from the top floor terrace, the ground pool was big and clean. There are lot of beach restaurants close by, but we didnt visit them. We definitely recommend this place
