“This is the spot!”
Reviewed January 11, 2013

My husband and I fell in love with this at once quaint and happening restaurant on our first night in Quepos. Adrienne the owner is a swirling ball of positive loveliness, and she completely took care of us! The food was exceptional and we swooned so much, we went back twice during our trip! We'd go again in a heartbeat.

We love to be quaint and happening! Thank you for your wonderful words and for letting other travelers know. Regarding Adrienne, she has access to a lot of Cafe Milagro and that sure can't hurt the positive energy levels!

“Super friendly owner”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

You cannot help but like the owner....such a sweet lady!!
She took special care to ensure my martini was made just right.! We didn't have the best luck with our food though as my wife's shrimp was a little raw and the jerk chcken was ok but not near spicy enough. We gave the place a try for breakfast another day. French toast and banana pancakes were both ok but nothing to write home about.
Charming little restaurant but like most places in CR, the food could be better.

Oh no! You should have let us know! We loved making the martini just right (you inspired me to have one). I asked you twice about your meal and you didn't say anything that would have lead me to believe you were anything other than thrilled. This is such a bummer for owners who really, really care, to find out after the fact that someone was less than pleased. All of it easily fixed too! A call to arms to all, please let us know in the moment so we can make you happy. It's truly disappointing to read about it after the fact when, of course we will learn from it, but the precious moment with you is gone. The connection with our customers is what matters. Please understand that.

“Great atmosphere, great food”
Reviewed January 10, 2013 via mobile

We visited Milagro for breakfast twice as they have a great menu. I had a yummy carrot cake and my partner had delicious fried potatoes, streaky bacon and pancakes. He doesn't like egg and they were more than happy to swap them for pancakes. We also visited for dinner and had Mahi-Mahi with Caribbean marinade and grilled pineapple and the shrimp with rice. Both were great with the seafood fresh and the presentation of the dishes considered. Every plate that comes out of the kitchen looks great.

We returned the next night with a Mahi-Mahi that I had caught fishing for the day. The chef was more than happy to cook him for us and found the staff to be very accommodating.

The atmosphere is great here with a lovely patio to the front and back and live music. It has a great vibe. Visit for breakfast, lunch or dinner!!!

“gluten free food made me sick”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

This place is really cute and has some nice souvenirs. I was excited to see that they labeled their gluten free options, however this is the only place on my trip to Costa Rica where I got really sick from the food. I would be very careful here if you have a gluten allergy or Celiacs and are sensitive. Otherwise I recommend this place.

“Fabulous”
Reviewed January 9, 2013 via mobile

Great food, unique flavors: local with a twist. The patacones we ordered came with an excellent guacamole with a slight sesame oil flavor that greatly complemented the dish. Highly recommend the beef with the coffee rub. Despite the place was completely full, the service was prompt and friendly.
Great coffee and wonderful dessert too.. Will be back.
Live music was perfect for the x y generation. Very Norah jonesy.

This makes an owner's heart feel BIG!! We cannot wait to share this with our staff. How can they not feel proud after reading this. Thrilled to have pleased you and impressed you. That is why we do what we do and after 18 years in business this is still what it is all about. Thank you for your kind words and for letting others know about us. Yay for everyone!
